It's an adventure in the Arctic when Diego teams up with Baby Jaguar, Alicia, cousin Dora the Explorer, and lots of animal friends to save some baby polar bears from the melting ice! Will you help on this great polar bear rescue?

Songs[]

Polar Bear Sound[]

Roar, roar!

Polar Bear Facts[]

  • Polar bears live in the snowy Arctic, not the rainforest because it's too hot.
  • When catching food, polar bears stand on ice floes, not fishing boats.
  • Polar bears take cover from snowstorms by digging snow caves, not using umbrellas.
  • Polar bears get down snow hills by sliding on their backs, not tumbling.

Animal Puzzle with Questions[]

  • Does a polar bear live in the snowy Arctic or the rainforest?
  • Does a polar bear catch its food standing on fishing boats or ice floes?
  • To take cover from a snowstorm, does a polar bear dig a snow cave, or use an umbrella?
  • To get down a snow hill, do polar bears tumble, or slide on their backs?

Trivia[]

  • This is the last episode for a few things:
    • The last episode of the series to be written by co-creator Chris Gifford.
    • The last episode in production order to feature the original cast: Jake T. Austin (as Diego), Serena Kerrigan (as Alicia), Thomas Sharkey (as Baby Jaguar), Keeler Sandhaus (as Rescue Pack), Kathleen Herles (as Dora), and Sasha Toro (as Backpack).
    • This is also the last episode in production order where Steve Sandberg serves as the musical director and Jed Becker as music voice director before he taken his position as the music composer/director for all of season 4 and 5.
    • The final time Kathleen Herles provided the voice of Dora in any Dora the Explorer media, not counting any held back episodes. Otherwise, it would be the main show's episode Swiper the Explorer, which premiered in March 2010.
      • And as for Jake T. Austin, he would be voicing as Diego one last time in Season 5 finale of the episode Egyptian Camel Adventure for the remastered airing order in July 13, 2013.
    • The last episode, not counting the held back premiere of Egyptian Camel Adventure in 2013, where Diego says, "¡Excelente!" during the animal end song, as in the next season, Diego will not say that during the song for now on.
      • This is also one of the few times where it is re-recorded from usual.
    • This is Dora and Backpack's last appearance in Diego's show going by production order (unless one counts Bengal Tiger Makes a Wish! and To Babysit a Bobo for Dora, where she, respectively, appears in a flashback from Let's Review and a picture of her with her siblings). In TV airing order, it would be Diego and Dora Help Baby Monarch Get to the Festival.
    • The seventh and final time, in release date, that Dora appears within the Go, Diego, Go! series and the sixth time without Boots.
  • This episode premiered exactly 3 years after Diego's Wolf Pup Rescue.
    • Coincidentally, Dora appeared in both episodes.
  • This was the second episode where Rescue Pack was used before Click, after Diego's Safari Rescue.
  • Dora does not ask Map for directions in this episode.
  • Dora did not say anything during the Let's Review segment in this episode.
  • Boots, Map, Swiper, the Fiesta Trio, and the Bobo Brothers don't appear in this episode.
  • On the DVD, the 2008-10 Nickelodeon Productions logo appears, but elsewhere, it has with the 2005-09 Nick Jr. Productions logo, thus in those airings, officially making it the last episode to use the 2005-09 Nick Jr. Productions logo, if one doesn't count Diego and Dora Help Baby Monarch Get to the Festival airing on TV on November 25, 2009.
  • Diego doesn't say "We solved the puzzle," after finishing the puzzle. He instead says "We finished the puzzle."
  • This episode was on DVD on September 15, 2009 and premiered on TV just three days later.
  • This episode could be an example of why Swiper doesn't appear in the show besides the Bobos being its own antagonist(s). There are already foxes in this show, like the Arctic foxes shown during Click's segment.
  • Dora remained silent during the Let's Review segment. She did not even say, "Let's Review!" or "Together!" with Diego and Alicia, when normally all three would say that.
    • A possible reason for this is because she doesn't appear until part 2 of the episode, and the episode in general wasn't going to have her appear at all.
  • This is the second time "Calma" was sung after Alicia Saves the Crocodile as well as the first time Diego sings it.
  • Although this double-length episode premiered in 2009 on Nickelodeon, DVD and Noggin, it was made in 2007 according to the end credits.
  • Backpack's dancing animation is recycled from Dora's Dance to the Rescue.

Goofs/Errors[]

  • In real life, Dora would need a special license to operate a helicopter.
