3 out of the 4 episodes (the first three) haven't aired on television prior to the release of the DVD. The only episode that already aired was the fourth one, Benny’s Treasure.
Coincidentally, all four episodes do not have Backpack checked.
The first and third episodes do not feature Swiper and the second and fourth do, both before the first locations with him in the disguises.
Excluding the 2009 reissue of Dora's Halloween, this is the last Dora the Explorer DVD to feature the Nickelodeon Splat logo and the 2000 Dora the Explorer logo. Starting with the next DVD, it'll feature the 2009 variations of the logos. However, the Nickelodeon Fish logo continued to be used until Let's Explore: Dora's Greatest Adventures. Beginning with Explore the Earth, all future Dora the Explorer DVD releases use the 2009 Nickelodeon logo at the beginning.
A Japanese version of this DVD was released in 2011 under the Dora’s Big Birthday Adventure name.
