After the baby shower party became a success in the previous episode, Dora tells her baby brother and sister a super story in which they're Super Babies! But even super babies need the viewer's help to use their super-hearing, super-crying, super-flying powers, and more to get their banana food back from Swiper's wrath!
Plot[]
The episode starts with Dora and Boots helping Mami feed the twin babies their banana baby food. Dora then tells them a story on how they were Super Babies. It all started when Dora, Boots, and the Super Babies were at the picnic park that was having the banana festival. Suddenly, Swiper swipes all of the bananas, including the Super Babies' baby banana food and throws them very far away. Now the banana festival is ruined. Dora and Boots have to get back all the bananas. The Super Babies got into their stroller, and they, along with Dora and Boots, set off to get the bananas back. The problem is that they don’t know where to go to find the bananas, so they ask Map for assistance. He says that the banana baby food is on top of a huge mountain of bananas. But before they can get there, they had to go across the bubble bath and climb up the building blocks. After memorizing the places, Dora, Boots, and the super babies get going. They couldn’t find the bubble bath, and all of a sudden the super babies use their super hearing to find it, there are three trees, behind the first tree is a frog croaking, the second tree is the sound of bubbles popping, and the third tree has the sound of a squeaky toy. The viewer finds the bubble bath behind the second tree. So they got going. En route to the bubble bath, the road was blocked by a sleeping big blue baby bear. The Super Babies, along with Dora and Boots, super cried and woke the baby bear up, causing it to move out of the way. When they got into the bubble bath, they use their super breath to blow an inflatable boat to ride across the tub. As they got going, they had to super pop the bubbles and to super paddle to evade a large rubber duck. Afterwards, they had to find the building blocks, but a giant rock is in the way. The Super Babies use their super x-ray vision to see inside the rock. Soon after, they found the building blocks. When they had gotten to the building blocks, the Super Babies rearranged them to make a staircase for the group. The first step has one block, the second has two blocks, the third has three, the fourth has four, and the fifth has five. They make it up the blocks in no time. Now, they have to find the bananas. The super babies use they super strength to lift the stroller high enough so they can get a better look. Sure enough, they see the bananas. Along the way, the see a giant gap in the middle of the road, so the babies decided to make the stroller fly. But all of a sudden, the Super Babies had gotten thirsty and slowed down, so they get a drink from the Backpack. They can’t drink from their rattles or their diapers, so they get two baby bottles out of the Backpack. After getting a drink, the Super Babies had gone even faster. They made it to the banana mountain. Swiper was climbing up the bananas (even with him disguised as a walking banana), but the Dora, Boots, and the Super Babies stop him from swiping and eating the banana baby food. "Swiper, no, no!", yelled the babies, and then Swiper slipped and fell on the bananas and he slid down. Dora and Boots then feed the Super Babies their banana food. The babies said it was delicious. After that, they return all the bananas to the festival and they save the day.
This is one of few episodes where Map's zoom-wipe effect is used after telling the viewers to go to the first and last locations.
This is the fourth episode in which Dora explains her favorite part first and then Boots explained his favorite part afterwards, first being Sticky Tape, the second being Call Me Mr. Riddles, and the third being Boots' Special Day.
This episode has no blue cursor click before the Favorite Parts segment.
Instead, the story ends and the scene goes back to where Dora, Boots, and the babies are at Dora's House.
It is unknown how Swiper got to Banana Mountain when he appeared the second time.
This marks the third time in production order where Swiper swipes something near the beginning of the episode, which in case is the bananas for the banana festival and the Super Babies' banana baby food. The first time being Star Catcher (where Swiper swipes the Star pocket and attaches it with a red balloon) and second being Star Mountain (where Swiper swipes Dora's necklace and throws it to the top of the Giant Star).
Although this episode premiered in 2005, it was produced in 2003 according to the end credits.
During Valentine's Day 2008 and February 12, 2010, the Nick Jr. block aired this episode to celebrate Valentine's Day, despite it barely having anything to do with Valentine's Day.
Map only zoom wipes in the first and last segments after telling the viewers to go to the first and last locations.
When Boots says, "Say Backpack, Say Backpack!" the audio is taken from Season 1.
Goofs/Errors[]
The designs of Dora change constantly almost throughout this episode. In some scenes she appears to have her Season 4, Version 1 look, but in other scenes such as the introduction and the first Super Babies song, she has her Season 4, Version 4 look.
If one looks closely, Map is inside Backpack instead of in the side pocket when he was being called upon the first time.
After going to the bubble bath, when Dora says "Where do we go next?" after Map tells the viewers where to go, she looks like her early Season 1 self.
Several times in the episode, usually whenever they are sitting in their stroller, the Super Babies' capes are missing.
Despite the "star catching" segment being discontinued, the star pocket can still be seen on Backpack in a few shots. It will continue like this until Baby Crab.
During Backpack's segment, she is seen backwards.
The second time Swiper appeared, Dora mentions that he would swipe the banana food, but it is unknown what he would actually swipe. It could either be the banana food, the stroller, the Super Babies' capes, or all of them. However, they stopped him anyway, thanks to the viewer.
When the Super Babies plan to use the Building Blocks as a staircase, the colors of the bottom sections of their shirts become reversed.
However, this could hint that the boy would later wear red and the girl light blue in the spin-off/sequel show Dora and Friends: Into the City! where they are seen older, as well as the 2024 reboot Dora (series).
