Listen to Boots' monkey sound from "Catch that Shape Train" at the end of this clip.

This is the sixth time Boots' "Ooh-ooh-Aah-aah" sound is recorded, and the second time Koda Gursoy recorded it after his first shot in the Dora the Explorer episode Catch That Shape Train.
  • The Bobo Brothers don't appear in this episode, and not until For the Birds.
  • The Travel Song gets reused with different lyrics that were never seen on Dora the Explorer. They don't say the places to go, but they still ask "Where are we going?" and clap their hands three times, then they answer "Rainforest" as their destination, it is also sung with different instrumentals than the version from Dora the Explorer, it is also the only Dora and Friends: Into the City! episode and the final episode featuring it.
  • All of Dora's friends did not age in the reboot. However, in the original episode Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure, all the characters had aged in the future scene.
  • The characters from Dora the Explorer appear for their first episode in Dora and Friends: Into the City.
  • "All for One" and "We Did It!" (from Dora the Explorer) get combined into one. The lyrics starts off with "We did it together, all for one" and the tune still concludes with "Together all for one, that's how we got it done. We helped out everyone, all for one".
  • As a result of the events of this episode, Dora's friends Backpack and Map from Dora the Explorer join the cast of Dora and Friends: Into the City! along with Bud, a young flower who comes from Isa's garden.
  • This episode could take place before episodes with Backpack.
  • If one looks closely, when Backpack is ripped open, a Slinky is seen among her items.
  • This is the first episode where Dora actually calls Boots "Buddy".
  • This is the first time seeing Boots very upset for losing Backpack and Map.
  • Map, Swiper and the Fiesta Trio are still voiced by Marc Weiner in this spin-off/reboot.
  • This is the only time we see Backpack's face on her imprint area like in the original series, starting with her next appearance, her face is on her flap.
  • Starting with this episode, Backpack, Tico, and Isa are no longer voiced by Sofia Lopez, Oscar Hutarra, and Skai Jackson. They would be replaced by Breanna Lakatos, Jorge Vega, and Celine Cardona respectively.
  • The Blue Cursor isn't involved in this episode to click on things or the reboot.
  • The Fiesta Trio are the only ones not to appear in this episode with everyone. However, they make a cameo appearance alongside Map during I'm the Map.
  • Though Swiper swiped Backpack and Map (off-screen), he is on his good side in this episode as he joins Dora and her friends new and old to retrieve Backpack and Map.
  • When Swiper looks at Dora's special bracelet, it almost looked like he was wanting to swipe it, but he doesn't; he instead just comments on her bracelet and gives her the idea of using it to help Backpack in trouble.
  • The Blue Cursor isn’t involved in this episode or part of the reunion.
  • Dora got to see her old house in the rainforest while she’s flying in Benny's hot air balloon and she still calls it home.
  • During the sleepover scene, Benny suggested Boots to tell Pablo about the time he turned into a potato, something that happened in the Dora the Explorer episode "The Big Potato".
  • Dora mentions and talks about all the great things everyone has had in the present and past which is technically her adventures from previous episodes and from Dora the Explorer when she was a kid.
  • When Swiper talks about swiping Map and Backpack and tried to hide them, Pablo, Boots, and Benny mention about the big wind, which was in past episodes.
  • This episode aired exactly 1 year after Dora Saves Opera Land premiered.
  • Boots didn't grow up much in this episode.
  • When Dora calms Boots down, she mentions to him about the time that breathing in and out always works, then they do so, something that happened in Rescue, Rescue, Rescue!.
  • A book called "Boots and Dora Forever!" is based on this episode.
  • Though not yet uploaded to YouTube, the full episode can be viewed here.

References[]

  • The "Where are we going?" followed by "Rainforest" as the answer may be a reference to the Dora the Explorer episode "Hide and Go Seek".
  • This is the penultimate episode to the season finale.

Goofs/Errors[]

  • When the wind blew Dora's Backpack away from Swiper, Map tumbled out of her pocket, but when she gets stuck on the top of the Tallest Mountain and Dora and her Friends help her, she got torn apart. And when she almost fell to the bottom of the Tallest Mountain cliff and when Dora caught her, Kate mend her and Dora had Backpack on her back and Dora's items flew back into her Backpack.
  • For a split second, Dora’s shoe color changes.
