Plot[]
The episode starts on a relaxing day that Dora looks for Boots using her binoculars that Abuela gave her as a present. Boots was up in the tree and waves to Dora and the viewer. Boots swings down to Dora and hugs her. Suddenly, they heard a distressed "Mreow, Mreow, Mreow". Dora heard someone in trouble. She looks through the binoculars and sees Baby Jaguar stuck in the tree. He was hanging by his itty-bitty paws off the edge of the branch (The viewer knows that only an animal rescuer can save Baby Jaguar like Diego, but he does not appear in this episode). But then, Dora heard someone else who is in trouble. Dora looks through the binoculars and saw that Isa fell into the Big Sand Hole and she couldn't get out of there because it was too slippery. All of a sudden, Dora and Boots saw someone else in trouble. Dora and Boots both go, "Uh-oh" and Dora looks through the binoculars and saw Benny and his hot air balloon. Benny's balloon had a hole in it that it popped up by a sharp object, and it collapsed. Benny and his balloon landed on top of the gooey geyser and there was sticky pink goo all around him. This has been a catastrophe.
Dora and Boots had to rescue Baby Jaguar, Isa, and Benny, but they weren't sure who to save first. Baby Jaguar meows out loud. Dora gasps and saw that the branch Baby Jaguar was hanging on of his little paws was about to break apart and was about to fall into the pickers and thorns. Dora screams "Ahh!" and then she and Boots figured out that Baby Jaguar should be rescued first; if they're going to do of what Diego did. So, Dora and Boots had to run as fast as they can, but they couldn't make it to Baby Jaguar. Dora and Boots had to find a quick route to take so they can rescue Baby Jaguar. They had to find a secret shortcut. Boots panics and asks "How do we find the secret shortcut?!". Dora knows a trick to calm Boots down: by taking a deep breath to relax.
Dora and Boots asked Map for assistance. He tells them that the door to the secret shortcut was behind a bush. He says that Dora and Boots had to clap their hands to make it appear. The Fiesta Trio show a demonstration of how this is done. The viewer then tells this to Dora and Boots and they clapped their hands and soon the bushes split in half and a blue door opens up high. Dora and Boots use the secret shortcut passageway and it took them straight to Baby Jaguar.
Baby Jaguar gets scared and Dora saw that he was slipping. Dora and the viewer think bravely and Boots panic again and knows that Baby Jaguar will fall into the pickers and thorns if they don't find a safe way to rescue him. Dora calms Boots down by taking a deep breath to relax. Dora had a plan on how they can rescue Baby Jaguar. There were two pictures. One picture had Dora and Boots catching Baby Jaguar with the net and the other picture had Dora and Boots getting the net out of Backpack. The first thing they had to do was get the net out of Backpack and then they had to catch Baby Jaguar with the net. Now that Dora and Boots had a plan, they had to do the plan in the correct order. Dora and Boots get the net out from Backpack and then Dora catches the net. Baby Jaguar can't hold on much longer. Dora and Boots have to run to Baby Jaguar. They held the net out and reached up and then as they branch broke, Dora and Boots caught Baby Jaguar in the net (The viewer tells Baby Jaguar that Diego and his parents would have been very proud of his cousin Dora for rescuing him if she will not just be an explorer, but she will also be a new animal rescuer as a new title and work with him as cousins).
Baby Jaguar was saved (Stage 1 complete!), but Benny and Isa were still in trouble. Isa still can't get out of the Big Sand Hole and Benny was still stuck on top of the gooey geyser as it's almost going to erupt! Dora, Boots, and Baby Jaguar had to figure out who to save next. Suddenly, the evil sand ants started coming. Isa sees them and screams "Ahh!". Dora, Boots, and Baby Jaguar had to save Isa next. Dora, Boots, and Baby Jaguar use a bicycle built for two with a basket at the front. Baby Jaguar rode in the basket, Boots sat in the front of the bike and Dora in sat the back. They wore bike helmets and pedaled to the Big Sand Hole. The evil sand ants started to approach Isa and attack her! Baby Jaguar scratches the ground. The audience start to think more bravely of another plan to save Isa while Boots saw the bad sand ants as he panicked. Dora had to calm down Boots and Baby Jaguar. They took a deep breath and a deep breath out.
Dora had a plan on how they can rescue Isa who's stuck in the Big Sand Hole. There were three pictures. The first picture had Dora and Boots putting the ladder down the hole, the second picture had Isa out of the Big Sand Hole, and the third picture had Dora and Boots getting the ladder out of Backpack. Dora and Boots had to begin their plan by getting the ladder out of Backpack. The next thing Dora and Boots had to do is put the ladder down the hole and then Isa is out of the big sand hole. After organizing the pictures to their second plan, Dora and Boots have to actually do the plan by getting the ladder from Backpack. Next they put the ladder down the hole. Isa had to climb up the ladder fast. Isa climbs faster up the ladder and in no time Isa was out of the Big Sand Hole. The bad sand ants go "Oh!" and they grumble away into the Big Sand Hole. Isa was saved just in time. Stage 2 complete!
They were about to celebrate, but there was no time for victory yet because there's life at stake and it means Benny is the last character of being in trouble. Dora shouts Benny's name and she looks through the binoculars and sees that the gooey geyser is getting ready to go kersploosh!, while erupting. Dora, Boots, Baby Jaguar, and Isa had to rescue Benny super fast. They took a deep breath in and a deep breath out. After taking a deep breath, Dora, Boots, Baby Jaguar, and Isa started running on foot but it wasn't fast enough. They needed to go faster. Luckily, a rocket car speeds along. Tico was driving a new supersonic rocket car instead of his yellow car. Dora, Boots, and Isa (excluding Baby Jaguar, because he cannot speak until "Go, Diego, Go!") told him "Para" for "stop" (perhaps another Spanish word of "stop" also says "alto!" and/or "detente!", respectively.). Tico stops his rocket car and Dora, Boots, Baby Jaguar, and Isa climbed inside. Isa sat up front, Dora and Boots sat in the back with Baby Jaguar in a car seat. Tico had to press down all 5 levers to start his rocket car. After counting to 5 in Spanish, the rocket car went super fast through the forest. It even zoomed past Swiper. He spins like a tornado and gets dizzy, because the rocket car went too fast. In no time, Tico drives Dora, Boots, Isa, and Baby Jaguar to Benny who was still stuck on the top of the gooey geyser.
Suddenly, the ground started to shake. Benny was starting to shake. The gooey geyser was getting ready to erupt and go kersploosh. They had to rescue Benny from the gooey geyser. Isa couldn't reach him because there was too much sticky goo in the way. Benny gets scared in terror! Boots, Baby Jaguar and Isa got into a panic. Dora calmed them out by taking a deep breath in and a deep breath out. Dora had one more rescue plan on how they can rescue Benny the bull. There were four pictures which means it'll take four steps to save Benny. The first picture had Dora pumping Benny's balloon with the pump, the second picture had Dora putting sticky tape on the hole in the balloon, the third picture had Dora and Boots getting the sticky tape and pump from Backpack, and the fourth picture had Benny and his balloon out of the gooey geyser. Dora and Boots had to start their rescue plan by getting the pump and sticky tape out of the Backpack. The next thing they had to do is tape up the hole in the balloon with sticky tape. The third thing they had to do is pump up the balloon with lots of air with the pump. And finally, Benny and his balloon will float up and out of the gooey geyser.
Benny knew that the gooey geyser is going to go kersploosh. Dora and Boots not only had to be faster than fast. They go rescue Benny super fast. So, Dora and Boots get out the sticky tape and the pump from the Backpack. Next they have to fix the hole in the Benny's balloon with the sticky tape. Dora quickly puts two pieces of sticky tape on the hole in the balloon forming an "X". Dora was about to pump with the balloon when they heard Swiper the fox approaching. Dora, Boots, Benny, Isa, and Baby Jaguar stopped Swiper. But as Swiper walks away, his foot gets stuck in the goo. Swiper gets his foot out of the goo but makes tracks with his right foot as he walks away saying "Oh, man!" for a sticky predicament.
Isa noticed the gooey geyser is getting ready to go kersploosh. Benny suggested that Dora should pump it up the balloon now and quickly! Dora did so fast and as the balloon got filled up with lots of air, the balloon started to rise. Benny's balloon gets out of the goo and the gooey geyser went kersploosh. Benny was saved at last. Dora and Boots saved all three of their friends! Now, they are going to take Baby Jaguar back to his mother and Diego at the Animal Rescue Center, so that they will tell her and Diego all about it and they will be very interested and most impressed to hear of their super fast adventures.

Trivia[]
- Map and Backpack sing their songs very fast instead of just normal speed.
- In fact, most of the songs and background music used in this episode play a lot faster because of tension and panic.
- And also, the Fiesta Trio now sing "Who's the Map?" instead of "He's the Map!".
- Map shows the secret shortcut and the Fiesta Trio claps their hands.
- This is the second episode where Map shows a shortcut path, first being The Lost City.
- This is the fifth instance where Isa spoke Spanish. When she first calls Dora and Boots for help, she said "¡Ayúdenme!". She first spoke Spanish in Bugga Bugga, in which she said "Abre", the second, third, and fourth times were To the Treehouse, Whose Birthday is It?, and The Lost City, respectively, both in which she said "¡Gracias!".
- This episode has a lot more screaming from the characters than any other episode.
- Dora is seen wearing her binoculars throughout the entire episode, except the ending where she and Boots talk about their favorite parts.
- Tico was seen driving a rocket car.
- It is possible that the reason why he used a rocket car instead of his usual yellow car is that he might have heard about Dora and Boots' friends in trouble and it would give them an even faster ride.
- This is the first episode of Character Find from Season 3.
- The end credits feature a Character Find instead of an Explorer Star mini game because explorer stars were not featured in this episode and Dora and Boots had not enough time to catch them.
- Even though Dora is scared, she does not freak out like the rest of her friends. She instead has everyone calm down by taking deep breaths.
- This episode aired the same day The Wiggles' Lights, Camera, Action! series premiered on Playhouse Disney in America.
- This is the first episode in which Baby Jaguar does the We Did It! dance.
- In this episode, Dora and Boots don't sing the Travel Song because everyone is in trouble and needs their help right away. They don't even have time to sing it, and even if they did, they would likely be interrupted by someone calling for help. This situation is similar to when they get cut off while trying to sing We Did It! due to the emergencies they're facing. This episode represents a state of emergency where they must act quickly to help others.
- Additionally, there are no Explorer Stars in this episode, and the Star Pocket does not appear. Like the Travel Song, Dora and Boots don't have time to catch stars because of the urgent situations that need their attention. However, the stars will return in the next episode and to the next emergency episode.
- Overall, Dora and Boots made the best decision to set aside the Travel Song and star-catching in order to save time and focus on rescuing their friends. If they manage to call upon one of the superpowered Explorer Stars from the Star Pocket, such as Rocket Star or Hero Star, it could help them in time.
- Additionally, there are no Explorer Stars in this episode, and the Star Pocket does not appear. Like the Travel Song, Dora and Boots don't have time to catch stars because of the urgent situations that need their attention. However, the stars will return in the next episode and to the next emergency episode.
- Backpack was called upon three times in this episode. Usually, it is only once or sometimes twice. However, Dora used her several times in the Season 1 episode Backpack and the Season 2 episode, Doctor Dora.
- Also, each time Backpack was used, her song gets shorter. The first time she was called, she sings her full song. The second time, she sings the short version. The third and last time, the song is super short, with Backpack only saying "yeah!" after the beginning instrumental.
- When Benny says "Thanks!", the audio is taken from The Fix-it Machine.
- The We Did It! song was played three times, but the first two were canceled by the next character calling for help because the mission was not fully completed.
- The phrase "Let's stop and think" was said a total of four times, the most times in a single episode.
- There is no picture pop-up sequence in this episode. This is the second time this happens after Lost Map, but this time, they still have the Map to help.
- First Dora and Boots help Baby Jaguar from falling down off the tree, then they help Isa next getting out of the sand ant hole, then they help Benny getting out of the Gooey Geyser.
- This is the second episode in which the Gooey Geyser is the last place Dora and Boots go as the destination, it was first the last place in the Season 2 episode Lost Squeaky. It will return in Catch the Babies.
- This is also the second instance where Benny's hot air balloon has a hole in it, first being Sticky Tape.
- This is the first appearance in airing order (second if counting the VHS and DVD release of Meet Diego!, since that was released six days before this episode) and only time Baby Jaguar appears without Diego. Therefore, he is an animal to be rescued, but only Dora and Boots have to save him for what Diego did.
- This is also the second instance where Baby Jaguar needed to be rescued (first in airing order), first being Meet Diego! (second in airing order). The third instance will start the plot of the Go, Diego, Go! episode "Diego Saves Baby Humpback Whale".
- And also, for those who are watching in airing order of Baby Jaguar's debut, Diego does not make a debut until "Meet Diego!".
- This is the second episode in which Map does not stand of the top left of his picture map like he usually does. He instead stands on the bottom left corner. The first time he did that was in Beaches when he showed Dora and Boots which colored path they need to use to exit the sand dunes.
- Although this episode aired in 2003, it was produced in 2002 according to the end credits.
- Tico's Rocket Car was incredibly fast, causing Swiper to spin around like a tornado until he became dizzy. This was the best way to stop him automatically.
- Dora, Boots, and Isa didn't even notice they zoomed past Swiper in Tico's Rocket Car because of how quickly they were going.
- As a result, Swiper didn't have a chance to swipe anything from Dora and Boots at that moment, since they were moving at such high speed.
- Dora and Boots used everything inside of Backpack in this episode (except the soccer ball).
- The songs are sung fast in this episode but Dora and Boots don't sing We Did It! fast, it's the only song that's not sung fast unlike the other songs.
- Tico doesn't join everyone for We Did It!, he just takes Dora, Boots, Isa, and Baby Jaguar to the Gooey Geyser so they can help Benny and then leaves after that, never coming back.
- This episode aired on Columbus Day/Canadian Thanksgiving Day 2003.
- This is the third episode to premiere on Columbus Day/Canadian Thanksgiving Day, first being Big River (in 2000) and second being A Letter for Swiper (in 2002).
- This is the 59th episode of the show.
- This episode premiered on Nick Jr. exactly 3 years after Baby Crab premiered in the United States.
- The episode's title in the Latin Spanish dub is "¡¡Al Rescate!!" which may be a nod to the Go, Diego, Go travel song of the same name.
- This is the only episode in which Dora says, "We had such a fast trip today!".
Goofs/Errors[]
- It is unknown why Dora and Boots sing We Did It! after helping Baby Jaguar and Isa because it's always the last song they're supposed to sing only at the end of the episode instead of during the episode.
- In the subtitles, "Para" is listed and misspelled as "Bara".
- It is unknown how Backpack can carry a giant ladder. In real life, backpacks can't carry extremely oversized objects. (Although here it doesn’t apply due to cartoon logic).
- This will happen again in A Crown for King Juan el Bobo.
- In the third Backpack segment, when the blue cursor clicks on the sticky tape, it does not light up gold.
- When Dora is snuggling Baby Jaguar, her neck is the same color as her shirt.
- During the scene where Tico's rocket car zooms past Swiper and makes him dizzy, the latter is drawn with five fingers instead of the usual four. In addition to that, he still does the starting position of his finger snap incorrectly (pressing his index finger against his thumb instead of the middle one).
