Rainbow Rock first appeared in the episode Best Friends where Dora and Boots meet up there on Best Friends' Day. It also appeared in The Shy Rainbow, where Dora and Boots watch rainbows as well as Act 1 of the Dora and Friends episode Dora's Rainforest Reunion where Dora and Boots had their Best Friends' Day picnic.

- Boots once confused Rainbow Rock for "Rainbow Sock" in Best Friends.
