Trivia[]

  • It was released on January 27, 2004.
  • This is the first VHS and DVD to have the Nick Jr. Frogs logo (2003-2008). It will be used until Undercover Dora.
    • Not only that, this is also the first Nick Jr. VHS in general to have the Nick Jr. Frogs logo.
  • This is also the first DVD to play all of the episodes from the disk rather than just the episodes that are originally on the VHS. If one selects "Play all", the DVD actually plays all episodes featured on the disk (For example: Dora's Pirate Adventure, Dora Saves the Prince, and El Coquí on this DVD).
  • This is the only Dora The Explorer VHS and the only Nick Jr. VHS in general to have both the Nick Jr Frogs logo from 2003 in the opening and 1998 Nick Jr. Animals in the closing. However, this does happen again in the 2004 DVD of Dora's Christmas, because it was released in late 2004, and the 2002 VHS master was used in the DVD.
  • This is the last DVD to feature "Oobi: The Friend Who's Always With You" and "Flash Cards" on the Special Features.
  • This is the first VHS and DVD to feature a double-length episode.
  • This is the second DVD where Swiper was stopped in all of the episodes without him even swiping once after Map Adventures.
  • The copyright year on the DVD reads 2003 instead of 2004, which means that is was made in 2003 and released in 2004.
  • Just like in Blue's Clues: "Classic Clues", and Oswald: "On the Go Oswald", there are no Nick Jr. Face segments.
    • Coincidentally, both this and the 2 aforementioned videos were released on the same day.
  • This VHS and DVD was released exactly 1 year after Dora, La Música premiered.
  • This is the first video to feature a double-length episode, therefore the DVD only has three episodes rather than the usual four, most likely because of Parts 1 and 2 combined as one and the episode being as long as two episodes of the show.
  • Dora's Pirate Adventure was released on this video before premiering on TV almost a year later on January 17, 2005.
  • In the trailer:
    • Most of the scenes from Dora's Pirate Adventure are an early release, given that the sky looks different in a few shots. Also in the scene where the Pirate Piggies take the treasure chest, the treasure chest is missing the red stripes on the front.
    • The panning shot of Dora and her friends dancing and singing during We Love to Sing is reversed.
    • The scene where Dora says "I need your help!" is taken from The Magic Stick.
    • The close-up of Dora running is taken from ¡Rápido, Tico!.
    • The scenes of Dora and Boots running, jumping over a log, spinning, and jumping up are taken from Whose Birthday is It?.
    • The background of the beach at the end is taken from Treasure Island.
