Diego: ¡Hola! I'm Diego, and this is my sister Alicia.

Alicia: We're animal scientists, and we've come to snowy Antarctica to study penguins.

Diego: If you see penguins, say "penguins"!

[The penguins are walking towards the siblings]

Diego: You see penguins? Where?

[The penguins honk]

Alicia: Yeah, there they are, and listen to them honk.

[The penguins honk again]

Alicia: Wow, look at all the penguins.

Diego: Yeah! There are lots of different types of penguins, and there are so many cool things they can do.

Diego and Alicia: Penguins love to waddle and parade all around.

Penguins: Penguins love to swim and flap their flippers up and down. Penguins love to slide on their big tummies on the ice. And when it gets real cold we like to hug each other tight.

Alicia: There are different types of penguins. Emperor, Chinstrap, Adélie.

All: And the thing that we all love is for our friends to come out and play!

[Everyone cheers and the penguins honk together. The school bell then rings]

Diego: That's the school bell. Today is the first day of school!

Alicia: And all the different types of penguins have to swim to their special schools.

Diego: That's because penguins are birds that swim.

Alicia: And I'm going to lead them to school in my super submarine.

[The chinstrap penguins honk together]

Alicia: Vamos, pingüinos. Time for school!

[Alicia's submarine dives underwater, and the penguins cheer and follow her]

Penguin: ¡Ayúdenme, ayúdenme! Help, help!

Diego: Uh-oh, that sounds like an animal's in trouble. Do you see who's calling for help?

Penguin: ¡Ayúdenme, ayúdenme! ¡Ayúdenme, ayúdenme!

Diego: There he is! That's a penguin chick, and he's floating away on that iceberg. We've got to save the penguin chick.

[Diego grabs a rope]

Diego: Help me throw the rope around the iceberg. Put your hands in the air to throw the rope. Now throw, throw, throw, throwm throw!

[The rope catches the iceberg]

Diego: Now pull the iceberg in. Put your arms out in front of you and pull, pull, pull, pull, pull! Great pulling!

[Diego hugs the penguin chick]

Diego: Hola, pingüino. What's your name?

Pepito: Me llamo Pepito, Pepito the penguin.

Diego: Pepito, why didn't you swim to school with the other penguins?

Pepito: I can't swim until I get my black and white swimming feathers. Oh, look! My first swimming feather! And more swimming feathers!

Diego: Wow! Pepito's getting his swimming feathers. And look, Pepito's getting bigger too!

Pepito: Woo-hoo! Look at me. I got my swimming feathers. I got my swimming feathers! Wait till I show everyone my new feathers! Uh-oh, everyone's gone to their penguin school. But I don't know how to get to my school.

Diego: We'll help you get to school, Pepito. Will you help take Pepito to his penguin school? Great!

Pepito: Gracias, gracias!

Diego: We've got to take Pepito to his penguin school. I know someone who can help us! A blue whale.

[Diego takes out his Field Journal]

Diego: A blue whale swims in the icy waters.

[Diego closes his Field Journal]

Diego: Let's all call to the blue whale! Say "Ah-ooh".

Diego and Pepito: "Ah-ooh".

Diego: Again.

Diego and Pepito: "Ah-ooh".

[The blue whale rises]

Diego: Do you see the blue whale?

Pepito: Yeah, there it is. And it's huge!

Blue Whale: Ah-ooh! Need any help?

Diego: Yeah. We've got to help Pepito find his penguin school.

Blue Whale: Well, hop on me and I'll give you a whale ride.

Diego and Pepito: Yay!

[Diego tightens his jacket and he and Pepito ride the Blue Whale and they both laugh]

[Una aventura plays]

Diego: Clap your hands with us. Clap, clap, clap. Clap, clap, clap. Clap, clap, clap. Clap, clap, clap. Great! Let's all honk like penguins. Say "honk, honk!" "Honk, honk!"

Animals: Go, Diego, go! Vamos, Diego, vamos!

Diego: Una aventura, amigo, an adventure my friend. Una aventura, amigo, an adventure my friend.

Animals: Go, Diego, go! Vamos, Diego, vamos! Go, Diego, go! Vamos, Diego, vamos! Go, Diego, go, Diego, go! Vamos, Diego, vamos! Diego, VAMOS!

Diego: Look, penguins!

Pepito: Maybe this is my penguin school.

Blue Whale: Then you'd better go see.

[Diego and Pepito slide off the Blue Whale]

Diego: Thanks, Blue Whale!

[Diego and Pepito wave goodbye]

[The chinstrap penguins greet each other]

Pepito: Hi!

Diego: Hi! Let's see if this is Pepito's penguin school. Look closely.

[A cursor shows up]

Diego: This is Pepito, and this is the other penguin. Let's think like scientists. Do these penguins look the same? Which one is taller?

[The cursor clicks on Pepito]

Diego: Yes, Pepito's taller and has yellow cheek and chin feathers. These are not the same type of penguins. What type of penguins are you?

Chinstrap Penguins: We're chinstrap penguins!

Chinstrap Teacher: Come join our penguin class! We're playing Simon Says.

Chinstrap Penguins: Come play with us, play with us!

Diego: Do you want to play Simon Says with the chinstrap penguins? Great!

Chinstrap Teacher: Simon says, "Flap your arms like penguin flippers." Flap your arms, flap your arms.

[Diego, Pepito and the chinstrap penguins flap their arms]

Chinstrap Teacher: Great! Simon says, "Rock side to side like a penguin." Rock side to side, side to side.

[Everyone rocks side to side like they're waddling]

Chinstrap Teacher: Good! Simon says, "Circle your head like a penguin." Circle your head, circle your head!

[They all circle their heads]

Chinstrap Teacher: Great! You're all really good at playing Simon Says.

Pepito: I love playing Penguin Simon Says.

Chinstrap Penguins: Yay!

[The chinstrap penguins honk and the school bell rings again]

Diego: Uh-oh, that's the school bell. We have to take Pepito to his penguin school.

Chinstrap Teacher: Then you'd better hurry!

Pepito: Let's go.

[Diego and Pepito wave goodbye to the chinstrap penguins]

Diego and Pepito: Penguins love to waddle and parade all around. Penguins love to swim and flap their flippers up and down. Penguins love to slide on their big tummies on the ice. And when it gets real cold we like to hug each other tight.

Diego: There are different types of penguins. Emperor, Chinstrap, Adélie.

Pepito: And the thing that we all love is for our friends to come out and play!

Diego: Whoa! This mountain is so big. But we've got to go over this snowy mountain.

Pepito: So I can find my penguin school.

[Diego and Pepito walk closer to the mountain]

Diego: Hey, look at Pepito. He's waddling up the mountain with his webbed feet turned out to hold onto the snow. We can waddle up the mountain like penguins.

Pepito: Yeah, Diego.

Diego: You have to stand up to waddle. Stand up, please. Stand up! Now turn your feet out and step side to side to waddle. Ready? Now... waddle, waddle, waddle, waddle. Waddle, waddle, waddle, waddle! Whoa. Here comes the snow cloud. We have to hug ourselves tight to keep warm. Hug, hug, hug. Let's keep waddling. Waddle, waddle, waddle, waddle! Now hug, hug, hug!

[The snow cloud passes through]

Diego: Waddle faster. Waddle, waddle, waddle, waddle! Now hug, hug, hug! Waddle, waddle, waddle, waddle!

Pepito: Diego, Diego! We made it over the mountain!

Diego: You're great at waddling and hugging like a penguin.

[More penguins honk]

Pepito: Diego, Diego! That sounds like more penguins.

Diego: Come on, Pepito, let's go.

[The adélie penguins honk again]

Pepito: Maybe this is my penguin school.

[The adélie penguins continue honking and say good morning]

Pepito: Hola.

Diego: Let's see if this is Pepito's penguin school.

[The cursor reappears]

Diego: This is Pepito, and this is the other penguin. Do these penguins look the same?

[The cursor clicks on Pepito]

Diego: Yes, Pepito's taller and has yellow cheek and chin feathers. These are not the same type of penguins.

Pepito: ¿Que tipo de pingüinos son ustedes?

Adélie Penguins: Somos pingüinos adelías.

Diego: These penguins are called Adélies.

Adélie Teacher: Quédense en nuestra clase de música.

[The adélie penguins honk again]

Diego: The Adélie penguins are having music class and want us to help them sing. Will you help the penguins sing their honking song? Great. The song goes like this: Honk honk! Honk, honk, honk! Come on, let's all sing the penguin honking song. Sing with me!

[The Penguin Honk Song begins]

All: Honk! (x20)

Diego: ¡Hasta luego!

Adélie Penguins: ¡Buena suerte!

[The adélie penguins honk one final time, and Diego and Pepito move forward]

Bobo Brothers: Bobos, bobos! Yay, yippee! We're bobos.

[The Bobos giggle]

Diego: Uh-oh, that sounds like the Bobo Brothers.

Pepito: The Bobo Brothers?

Diego: Those naughty monkeys are always getting into trouble. Do you see the monkeys?

[The Bobo Brothers are riding on a single snowboard]

Diego: Yeah, there they are. And look, the Bobos are making a giant snow wave with their snowboard.

Pepito: And they're playing bongo drums.

Bobos: Bobos, bobos! Yahoo! Bobos, bobos!

[They giggle again and then create the giant snow wave]

Diego: Oh no! Here comes the snow wave! We need to slide on the snow wave.

[Pepito hops onto the snow wave]

Diego: Hey, hey! Look at Pepito! Penguins slide on their big tummies, but we need something to help us slide. My rescue pack can transform into anything we need. To activate my rescue pack, say "actívate." Louder! ¡Activate!

Rescue Pack: Yo, Rescue Pack!

[The Rescue Pack Song begins playing]

Rescue Pack: I'm... Rescue Pack! (clap-clap) Coming to the rescue! (¡Al Rescate!) Rescue Pack, (clap-clap) Coming to the rescue! [Rescue Pack transforms into a bicycle]

Rescue Pack: Can he use a bicycle to slide on the snow? Nope.

[Rescue Pack transforms into a fishing pole]

Rescue Pack: Can he use a fishing pole to slide on the snow? I don't think so!

[Rescue Pack transforms into a sled]

Rescue Pack: Can he use a sled to slide on the snow? Right! Good thinking!

[Rescue Pack transforms back into his original form]

Rescue Pack: So you tell Diego he needs a sled.

Diego: What do we need? A sled? Cool!

[Rescue Pack transforms into a sled]

Diego: Now we can ride on the snow wave. Get ready to slide. Hug your knees and say "Whee!"

Diego and Pepito: Whee! Whee!

[Diego and Pepito continue sliding]

Diego and Pepito: Whee!

[Diego and Pepito slide to the bottom and laugh]

Diego: Wow, that was so cool!

[Pepito honks, and the sled transforms back into Rescue Pack]

Diego: Hey, it's Alicia.

Alicia: Hi, guys.

[Diego and Pepito walk up to Alicia]

Diego: This is my friend, Pepito. He's looking for his penguin school.

Alicia: There's a school across the water.

Pepito: I just got my swimming feathers today. I've got to swim across the water to see if that's my penguin school.
