Summary[]

While studying penguins in Antarctica, Diego and Alicia meet Pepito, a lost little penguin chick. Help Diego on an Icy Antarctic adventure to return Pepito to his penguin school!

Emperor penguins can swim. They can't jump rope.
Emperor penguins get over hills by waddling, not driving since they don't have driver's licenses nor drive cars.
Emperor penguins have feathers, not hair, and the ones on their cheeks and chin are yellow, not purple with polka-dots.
Emperor penguins are the biggest penguins in the world.

This could be Diego's version of To the South Pole.
- This would also apply to Macky the Macaroni Penguin.
  - Coincidentally, Diego appears in all of these penguin-themed episodes.
This episode and Diego Saves Christmas were the last two Go Diego, Go! episodes to be released onto videocassette; they appeared on "Diego Saves Christmas!", the final VHS tape of the entire Diego franchise.
- Because this was the final episode on the aforementioned VHS, this was the last episode to ever see a VHS release.
The setting takes place in the Antarctic.
This is the first episode for the "Nada" song, which means "Swim" in Spanish. It will be sung again in Cool Water for Ana the Anaconda.
This episode premiered the same day as How Mel Got His Groove Back.
Diego sings "Una Adventura" in this episode because this episode is an adventure.
- Going by production order, this is the first episode to feature this song.
During the animal end song, Diego doesn't say "Excelente!" he instead says "Yay!".
Diego doesn't say "Freeze, Bobos!" in this episode. He instead goes straight to using Rescue Pack as a sled to slide down the mountain.
- Coincidentally, Diego failed to stop Swiper along with Dora and Boots from swiping the keys to the big boat in To the South Pole.
Click and Baby Jaguar don't appear in this episode.
- This is the first episode where Click is not used.
It is unknown how the Bobo Brothers got to the Antarctic.
Diego prints the emperor penguin very fast and Alicia puts the emperor penguin in the science book.
Diego says "See you soon!" instead of Alicia, just like in "Chinta the Baby Chinchilla".
Alicia just says "¡Hasta luego!" instead of "¡Hasta luego, amigos!".
A clip from this episode appears in the online game, "Diego's Field Journal".
This episode is where Rescue Pack's second variant of his "Yo!" catchphrase originated.
