Mariana the Mermaid (theoretical full name: Mariana Carlés Aguaray) is a girl who was first introduced in the double-length episode "Dora Saves the Mermaids".
She is voiced by Gabriela Aisenberg in Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go!, and by Naomi Rosado in Dora and Friends: Into the City!.
Description[]
She is described as a beautiful mermaid. Mariana has strawberry-blonde hair with a flower shaped like a star in her hair. She wears a purple mermaid shirt and her fish tail (Manatee tail in Manatee's Mermaid Rescue!) is cyan.

- Mariana the Mermaid also made an appearance in an episode of the spin-off show, Go, Diego, Go! entitled, Manatee's Mermaid Rescue!, as well as in the Dora and Friends episode, Magical Mermaid Adventure.
- Pablo is shown to have a one-sided crush on her.
- Her love for all sightseeings terrestrial and marine as well as new hair draws similarities with Lea from the 2010-2013 Polly Pocket web series.
- Her marine background and unwavering desire to break free from evil influences draws similarities with Aisha (Layla) from the Winx Club franchise.
- If this were to be a Magic Tool from Fairytale Land (alongside the Red Ring, the Magic Music Box, the Bag of Sunshine and the Magic Hairbrush), the Enchanted Pitcher (El Cántaro), brimming with water from Sparkling Lake, will be the tool held by Mariana.
