The Magician is a mosquito that turned into a mean magician. She's the main antagonist of "Diego's Safari Rescue."
History[]
There was a mosquito who didn't like most animals, especially elephants, so she was very mean, and would fly around poking everyone. Until one day, she landed on a powerful magic wand which turned her into a human magician. She used the magic wand to turn the elephants into rocks, which can only be undone by playing a magic drum. Diego, Alicia, Baby Jaguar and Juma found the drum in a cave, and also met Erin, the only elephant left that wasn't turned into a rock. Throughout the episode, the Magician casts spells on multiple African animals, such as shortening the giraffes' necks, removing the stripes from the zebras, and shrinking the hippos, but Diego and his friends played the drum which broke the spells one by one.
Upon reaching the rocks, the Magician casts one more spell which turned Erin into a rock herself, so Diego and his sister and their friends played the drum as loud as they could which freed Erin and all the elephants from the spell. But the Magician was not through with them yet and tried to cast another spell, so Alicia used her rescue rope to take her magic wand away. Upon doing so, the wand disappeared, and the magician turned back into a mosquito. She tries to poke an elephant, but was swatted away by the tail, never to be seen again.
Physical Appearance[]
She wears red African clothes (with yellow, orange, green, and blue stripes at the bottom), a red cap, a purple cape, and purple shoes.
Trivia[]
- She's the second antagonist to appear in the series after the Bobo Brothers.
- The Magician never appeared in either Dora the Explorer or Dora and Friends: Into the City! otherwise she would be a fugitive residing in Playa Verde (being named "most wanted" by the city's local police) as she would've been one of the main antagonists of the latter-said series.
- She's the Go, Diego, Go! equivalent of El Mago.
- Theoretically, she could've make the water and food sources for the impalas, gazelles, and baboons offscreen before On An African Safari.
