Summary[]
In this updated version of Little Red Riding Hood, Dora and Boots must deliver a basket of treats to Dora's Abuela's house to help cure her cold. However, they have to watch out for Swiper, who is determined to swipe the basket. They also have to find a way over the Bumpy Bridge and across Turtle River.
Plot[]
Dora asks the viewer if he/she ever had a cold and if it made him/her sneeze. She then explains to the viewer that her grandmother is sneezing and coughing a lot because she is sick in bed with a cold. So, Mami gives her a basket full of goodies and treats to make her feel better. Dora tells the viewer that she calls her grandmother Abuela, which is Spanish for grandma or grandmother. Dora is ready to go to her Abuela's house. But first, she and Mami have to call out to Boots. They do so, and Boots swings down from the tree. The two of them hug. Mami said hello to Boots. "Hola, Señora Márquez" said Boots. Dora & Boots are now ready to go to Abuela's House. Before they started to leave, Mami tells Dora and Boots to be careful with the basket, and then, she said they have to watch out for Swiper the sneaky fox and told them not to let him swipe the basket of treats. Dora and Boots told Mami that they promise. They both said goodbye to Mami and off they went. Now, they have to find the quickest way to get to grandma's house. So, Dora & Boots check Map for help. He says that they have to go over the bumpy bridge and across turtle river to get to Grandma's house. Suddenly, they hear Swiper. If he swipes the basket, then Dora can’t give the basket full of goodies and treats to make her feel better. They have to be on the lookout for Swiper the fox and other obstacles too. Dora and Boots stop Swiper by saying, “Swiper, no swiping!” 3 times, then he said, “Oh, man!” , and ran away. As Dora and Boots set a foot on the bumpy bridge, they drop the basket on their way. But they get a fishing pole from Backpack to reel the basket back up. Soon after, Dora & Boots had to duck down low as Swiper swings on a vine trying to swipe the basket, but ends up missing. Swiper screams like a Tarzan yell and tried to stop swinging the vine and falls head first into a tree as the circling birdies of baskets is on Swiper's head. After that, the basket gets heavy. So, they rest the basket on a rock which was really a turtle shell. They look for the basket which was on the turtle's back which led them to turtle river. Dora & Boots take turns getting across Turtle River by jumping on 5 turtles. They counted up to 5 in Spanish. After getting across Turtle River, Swiper (using a similar tree he swung into in his last attempt as a disguise) follows Dora & Boots at first thought it was just a tree, until it kept moving. Dora & Boots said "My, what a big nose you have there?". Swiper replied with "The better to smell with". Then, they found out that the tree was really Swiper. They stop him and finally make it to her grandma's house. They both went in and gave her the basket of goodies and treats. There were cookies, mangoes, and arroz con leche. Additionally, there was also a drawing of a picture of Boots and Dora. In no time, Dora's grandma was feeling all better.

- This is the technically the first episode Swiper somehow plays a major role due to him wanting to swipe the basket of treats for Abuela, if he was on his good side, Dora would give him a treat, this would’ve been the first time on his good side.
- Swiper tries to swipe Abuela's basket three times in this episode, as well as Dora and Boots stop him 3 times.
- This is also the first episode where Dora and Boots stop Swiper 3 times. It will happen again in Pinto, the Pony Express.
- Dora and Boots sing the Travel Song the second time but they do not say the places they’re going, they instead skip that part and just ask the question "where are we going".
- After Dora and Boots finish the Travel Song the first time, they spin around but they don’t jump and yell out the last place they're going, they instead just run and yell out the last place.
- Dora and Boots don't say, "Swiper, no swiping!" the second time, they instead duck their heads for Swiper to not swing into them or to swipe their basket in the woods.
- This is the first episode in which Dora and Boots stop Swiper in another way. It will happen again in future episodes.
- When Dora wonders about Swiper in the tree and asking the viewer if they think it's just a tree, which is not, she squints which almost looks like she's making a weird look.
- Three Little Piggies, Big River, Berry Hunt, Wizzle Wishes and this episode are the 5 consecutive episodes Dora and Boots successfully stop Swiper and has never even swiped from them once. However, this streak ends in the next episode.
- When Dora and Boots are on their way to Turtle River, Swiper tries to swipe the basket, he fails and then he falls into the tree, Swiper uses the same tree to disguise himself so he can sneak up on Dora and Boots.
- This is the last episode where Boots is 4-years-old, as he celebrates his birthday in the next episode.
- This is the last episode for the end credits to have the Comic Sans MS font style. A new font style will debut in the next episode.
- However, the Comic Sans MS font will return in the episode First Day of School and all other episodes from seasons 5-8 with a whole new credits style featuring clips from older episodes in four clouds on each corner (similar to the end credits in Go, Diego, Go!).
- The scene with the screen zooming close to Dora’s House is also seen in El Día De Las Madres.
This is what the animation looks like.
- This is the first episode where Swiper has dialogue other than his "Oh, man" and "You're too late" catchphrases, and his laughing.
- This is the only episode in which Dora replies, "I can't hear you!" after a "repeat after me" prompt.
- Swiper's last Tarzan yell and him falling into a tree is a nod to referring to the 1967 animated series "George of the Jungle".
- Speaking of Tarzan: Harrison Chad, Boots' voice actor, would later go on to voice Young Tarzan in the 2005 film Tarzan 2.
Goofs/Errors[]
- In the opening, Dora's House is next to Abuela's House, but when Dora goes to Abuela's House, it is far away. It is unknown why.
- During the "I'm the Map" song, Map's dancing animation seems out of sync, however his singing voice remains the same. This will later happen again in episodes Bouncing Ball, Fish Out of Water, Little Star, and Te Amo.
- It is unknown how Backpack can carry a giant fishing pole. This previously occured in Big River. It will happen once more in Dora's Got a Puppy.
- It is unknown how Abuela knows Boots. It is possible that Dora tells her about him frequently and she eventually got to see him.
