[Hey, THIS is new (for airing order)! Diego is standing on a map of continents. But, where are we going?]
"Today we're in the grasslands
See if you can guess what animal it is!
"Do YOU know what big animal this is?" he asks.
"Hi there!" said the hippo.
Diego tells us that Hippopotamus' old river is being drained
and the water is going to a new town.
Hippo explains that there's not enough water for him and his friends anymore.
"That's right, Hippopotamus!"
other hippopotamuses there for you to play with, too!"
"I CAN'T WAIT to get to Hippo Lake!"
"I can't wait, either!" said a bird.
"I'm so glad you're coming with me!"
Diego explains that Oxpecker and Hippopotamus are the best of friends.
And they help each other, too!
Oxpecker gets his food by eating bugs off of Hippopotamus' back.
"I love eating bugs off Hippopotamus' back!"
"And keeps me nice and clean!"
Diego's papi taught him a word for that kind of animal friendship: Symbiotic.
Can you say, "Symbiotic"?
By staring on you, I feel so tall!
You clean the itchy bugs off my back!
That's my idea of a morning snack!
Symbiotic, symbiotic friends!
Yes we are, symbiotic friends until the end!
Together we go everywhere!
With me up there, and you down there!
You keep me clean, and that's just great!
I call you back, my breakfast plate!
Symbiotic, symbiotic friends!
Yes we are symbiotic friends until the end!
Oh, we are symbiotic, symbiotic friends! Yes, we are symbiotic friends until the eeeend!
Click's all set for work! "Hi, I'm Click the Camera!" she says. "We need to find Hippopotamus' friend, Oxpecker. Oxpecker is a bird with a red and yellow beak."
"Let's ZOOM through the grasslands to look for a bird with a red and yellow beak."
Ready?
Does this bird have a red and yellow beak?
NO! That's a ground crane.
Does this bird have a red and yellow beak?
NO! That's a horned bill.
Does THIS bird have a red and yellow beak?
Click then says, "Tell Diego you found Oxpecker!"
"WHAT did you find?" asked Diego.
"He looks like he's in trouble,
Diego!" said Hippopotamus.
We can do that if Click ZOOMS out!"
"OH, NO!" cried Diego. "That pipe is pulling all the water out of the river!"
"And it's pulling in Oxpecker, TOO!" Hippopotamus replied.
Are hippopotamuses symbiotic friends with oxpeckers?
Are hippopotamuses symbiotic friends with monkeys?
Can hippopotamuses open their mouths?
Can hippopotamuses stand on their legs?
Does water in hippopotamuses' rivers go to towns?
Does water in hippopotamuses' rivers go up mountains?
Do hippopotamuses need a lot of water in their rivers?
Do hippopotamuses need a little water in their rivers?
