[Our first double-length special of the spin-off series starts at a dinosaur museum as the sequel series' take on the main show's episode
Baby Dino!]
"¡Hola! I'm Diego!
and this is my sister Alicia!" said Diego.
And this is our prima Dora!" said Alicia.
(growling): "Mreow, Mreow!"
Diego says that this is their first time at a...
"We LOVE dinosaurs!" said the cousins.
"MREOW-MREOW!" growled Baby Jaguar.
"Do YOU like dinosaurs?" asked Diego.
"And Alicia really loves dinosaurs," said Diego.
"She's a dinosaur expert.” said Dora.
"Tell us about the dinosaurs, Alicia!" said Baby Jaguar.
"Dinosaurs lived a long, long, LONG time ago…
even before there were people around."
"Whoa!" said Diego and Dora.
That dinosaur has a REALLY LONG neck. It's a Brachiosaurus.
"WOW! Look how BIG he is!" said Baby Jaguar.
Which dinosaur is really small?
Whoa! That's a Microraptor! It's so small; it could fit in Dora's Backpack!
"Wow, that IS small!" Dora said. (Good thing we don’t need a Backpack Segment for that)
Alicia asks, "Do you know what kind of dinosaur THIS is?"
One of the fiercest dinosaur carnivores in the world.
Baby Jaguar found something interesting.
"We're coming, Maia!" said the little dinos.
"The maiasauras are looking for a place to lay their
dinosaur eggs, so they can be safe from the
"I smell Troodon dinosaurs!" said Maia.
"THERE THEY ARE!" she cried.
go catch up with mommy!" she tells them.
"I'll build a big wall to keep the troodons away! I'll meet you later."
"Thanks, Maia!" said a little dino.
gracias!" said the others.
can't get by!" Alicia explains.
Alicia asks, "Will you help Maia lift the rock?"
Will you? Maia would very much appreciate it!
"Great! Are you strong?"
"Really, REALLY strong?"
The troodons tried to jump over the rock…
"Good lifting!" Alicia said.
the Maiasauras are safe!"
But then, a big storm came!"
All those footprints just disappeared!
and couldn't find her family!"
"'Cause I'm an animal rescuer!" Diego said.
"I'm an animal scientist," Alicia adds.
"And I know a lot about dinosaurs."
"I'm an explorer!" said Dora.
Baby Jaguar says, "And don't forget about ME!
"And I can growl really loud, if we need it!"
(And not Swiper, nor the Bobos or nobody else can stop us!)
(Rescuers, we've got a mother to take care of!)
Now we're ready to go help Maia the Maiasaura.
"But there's one more person we need on our trip…" (And who could that be?)
"Will YOU help Maia the Maiasaura find her family?"
"Get ready to jump back to the time of dinosaurs!"
"You have to stand up to jump back in time!"
"Now bend your knees and get ready to jump!"
And lots of giant carnivores!
to the time of the dinosaurs!
"This is so amazing!" said Diego.
You won’t believe your eyes,
If you should hear some friendly roars!
Is that, the way, to say, "Hey, wanna play?"
in the time of the dinosaurs?
Oh, goodness gracious! We're back in the Cretaceous!
Look, there's a Gorgosaurus!
I think he's heading for us!
"Just wanted to come out and say hello!"
If you should come upon, a tired Iguanodon,
Let's wake him up before he snores!
might pound a hole in the ground!
is the COOLEST place I have found!
Yeah, thanks for coming 'round,
To the time, to the time of the di-no-saaaaaaaurs!
Let's count the toes on this footprint. Count with me in Spanish!
Five toes. So this isn’t the Maiasaura footprint.
Four toes! So this isn’t the Maiasaura footprint, either.
Is THIS the Maiasaura footprint?
"We've got to find Maia the Maiasaura's family!" said Diego.
(But the question everyone is asking: "Who can we ask for help when we don't know which way to go?")
"Diego, an explorer ALWAYS has a map," Dora said. "The Map can help us find the Maiasaura family!"
"All right!" cheered Diego. (Go for it, Dora! Guess we don’t need a Click Segment for today.)
"I need YOUR help. Will YOU check the Map find out where the Maiasaura family is? You have to say, 'Map!'"
(Well, look who's here guys! He's on Diego's show! It’s Map! Say it with her loud and proud!)
LOUDER! MAP!
Map's ready for work! Where is the Maiasaura Family?
"First, we go across the Muddy Mud Pits.
Then, we go past the Rocky Rock Cliff.
Next, we go past the Volcano.
And that's how we'll get to Egg Island!"
"WHERE do we go?" asked Dora.
"You're family is at Egg Island!"
spotting scope to find Egg Island.
Make a spotting scope with your hands to look for Egg Island.
"Do you see Egg Island?" That’s the Mud Pit.
On a great adventure to help the Maiasaura!
Whoa! Those leaves are up very high!
Can they use roller skates to land on the rocks?
NO!
Can they use a tennis racket to land on the rocks?
No, that's SILLY!
Can they use a pair of goggles to land on the rocks?
NO! That's even SILLIER!
Can they use a soft pillow to land on the rocks?
Yes!
On a great adventure to help the Maiasaura!
"What's THAT?!" asked Baby Jaguar.
"Wow! ¡Que lindas flores!"
Uh-oh! Who is making that wind?!
Maia thinks about asking the viewer.
Do YOU see the dinosaurs?
"And they're making GIANT winds!"
(DINOS!!!)
Oh no! Baby Jaguar is falling!
Diego did so and caught him.
"HELP!!!" cried Baby Jaguar.
Will those dinos EVER stop blowing wind?!
and the wind caused Baby Jaguar to be blown away!
Oh no! There he goes!
(¡Ay, no! ¡Dinosaurios antipáticos!)
Diego!" he said. (Well that's good…except he's now flying away by that strong wind.)
…somewhere in the Flower Field.
They're STILL blowing wind!
(And they might try to swipe the flowers!)
Luckily, Maia knows how to stop those silly dinos.
To stop the silly dinos, say...
"FREEZE, SILLY DINOS!" (Hey! That’s kind of like saying, "
FREEZE, BOBOS!" and, "
SWIPER, NO SWIPING!" except we are stopping dinosaurs.)
Say it (or "DINOS, NO HONKING!") with them!
Maybe we should say it louder.
(DINOS, NO HONKING!)
YAY! They stopped!
(¡Dinosaurios antipáticos!)
And, just like the Bobo Brothers, they nicely apologized.
Well, there they go, but not without another...
"HONK!" (as a way of expressing relief or saying, "OH, MAN!").
We stopped those silly dinos!
"I can help!" Map requested.
Will you check the Map to find out where Baby Jaguar is? Say, "Map!"
Map is back! "OH, NO!" he cried.
"Baby Jaguar is lost in the flower field!
(Here he is!) "Let's look for Baby Jaguar!"
"Is Baby Jaguar in the yellow,
Hello again, Dora! "Where's Baby Jaguar?" she asked.
Tell her which color flowers he's in!
"In the red flowers? Thanks!"
"Baby Jaguar's in the red flowers."
let's all call to Baby Jaguar."
"BABY JAGUAR!!" they called.
"Mreow-mreow!" they heard.
"I hear Baby Jaguar!" Dora said.
"But I don't see him!" Alicia added.
Diego asks, "If you see Baby Jaguar,
"BABY JAGUAR!" Diego shouted.
Baby Jaguar?" asked Diego.
Baby Jaguar responds, "I'm okay."
"¡Vámonos, amigos!" called Diego.
"Let's take Maia to Egg Island so she can find her family!"
"We just have to get past the volcano,
and then we'll get to Egg Island, and you'll be home!" Diego explained to Maia.
"Uh-oh! I think the volcano is going to blow!" said Diego.
They’re about to run past the volcano, until…
they hear cries for help!
That sounds like baby dinosaurs,
and they’re calling for help!
Diego! We’ve got to find them!
Do you see any baby dinosaurs?
There are a couple in the bush.
A dinosaur is blown out of the volcano! Cool!
Look! There's the babies' mommy!
"HEY! I see the Maiasaura family!" said Diego.
"I see them, I SEE THEM!" Maia cheered.
"I can smell other dinosaurs that are around,
and I think I can smell troodon dinosaurs!"
"And they’re heading for Egg Island!"
That's where Maia the Maiasaura's family is!
They must’ve gotten past the wall
"Troodons are very smart dinosaurs."
but not as smart as US!" explained Diego to the viewer.
"But we better hurry, Diego!" said Dora.
All the way across the water.
HOW are we going to GET there?" asked Baby Jaguar.
Help Maia swim across the ocean!
"Put your hands out in front of you, AND…
"YAAAAY!!!" they all cheered.
¡Misión cumplida! Rescue complete!
