There's Dora and Boots! But what are they doing? Let's find out.

soy Dora!"

Boots!"
Dora explains that she and Boots are at the beach today.
She has a question for you: "Have YOU ever been to the beach?"
Feel free to to tell them!
Well, guess what?!
Dora and Boots like the beach, too!
"We LOVE
the beach!" they said.
There are so many things you can do there!
Boots is going to give out examples.
"We love
the ocean," he says.
What else?
"And the WARM
sand," he continues.
"The bright
blue sky,
and the sunny sun.”
(Sunny days are always the best for the beach!)
What's going on today?
"Today is Clean Up the Beach Day." said Dora.
"That's when we make sure the beach is nice and clean."
"And doesn't have any garbage on it." added Boots.
“Let's make sure we picked up all the garbage.”
Do you see any garbage?
Right there!
"Yeah, it's a juice box!"
(Go get it, Boots!)
(Hey, why is it moving on its own?)
(Quick! Catch it!)
"HEY!
The juice box is moving!" said Boots.
(Maybe there's something UNDERNEATH the juice box?)
Boots is pretty sure there IS something underneath it.
Let's see what it is…
It's a crab!
The crab noticed someone helped. "I couldn't see where I was going with that garbage
on my head," said the crab.
"Thanks!" (Well, THAT was nice!)
The crab crawls away.
Now Boots can throw away the juice box.
(throws trash away)
There's probably still more trash on the beach. Help them find all the garbage!
"If you see
ANY MORE garbage,
yell, 'Garbage!'"
Tell them when you see some.
See any garbage around here? Where?
Right…
HERE!
"GARBAGE!" they shouted.
We can't let that thing sit here forever,
so
Boots picks it up
and
throws it in the trash bag.
They're not done yet! "Let's keep looking!"
Do you see any?
Over there!
WHAT do we say?
"GARBAGE!!!"
They pick up the trash
and throw it away
in the
bag.
Is that everything?
Looks like they're done!
They throw
trash bag away.
All gone!
"Thanks for helping us
clean up the beach!"
HEY!
What's THIS?!
Boots thinks it's garbage. "Hey, Dora," he says.
"I think I see some MORE garbage!"
(Um, Boots?!
Are you SURE?!)
Let's see if Boots is right.
He touches it and it doesn't look or feel it. It feels hard as a rock. That's a clam shell, not garbage!
(Boots laughs)
"It's just a clam shell!" he said.
Well, let's not throw THAT in the garbage!
"¡Por favor, bonito!" ("Please, sweetie!") says the clam shell. (A TALKING clam shell?!)
"I am not just a clam shell!" (Then, what kind of clam are you?)
"I am a VERY SPECIAL clam,
with a story to tell!"
What a rhyme! But, wait! He gives out more. "If you open me,
then you will see!" he adds.
"The magic word will do the trick!
SAY it,
and I'll open up QUICK!"
"We need the MAGIC word
to open the clam!" says Dora.
(Please? Open?) What do YOU think, Boots?
"The MAGIC word?!" Boots went.
Think, Boots!
Then, an idea on what it could be flew into his head. "Hey!
Maybe it's…
…'open!'" (Okay.)
He tries it.
"OPEN, CLAM,
OPEN!" he says to the clam.
Unfortunately,
it's not enough. "¡En Español
por
favor!" the clam sings. So while he's bilingual, he wants Spanish.
(So that means the magic word must be "abre".)
"We've got to use the Spanish word to open the clam," said Dora.
"In English, we say, 'open;' in Spanish, we say, 'abre.'"
She asks, "Can YOU say 'abre'?"
Say it!
Say, "Abre"!
The clam didn't hear you.
"LOUDER!" Dora said.
"¡ABRE!" they both said.
It worked!
"Look!
The clam
is opening!"
Let's see what the story is going to be…
"I have a story to
tell…" said the clam.
"…about a MERMAID KINGDOM!"
Dora and Boots couldn't believe their eyes!
"A MERMAID kingdom?!"
Oooh!
What else is going on?
"And a BEAUTIFUL young mermaid named Mariana."
"A mermaid?!" Boots asked.
"YES!" the clam replied.
"But
she and
all her friends
are in trouble!"
(TROUBLE?!)
"Because
the
MEAN octopus
dumped
garbage
on them,
and NOW
their kingdom MIGHT
disappear!"
That's TERRIBLE!
Look at all the trash!
"DISAPPEAR?!?!?!"
Dora and Boots are shocked.
The clam has an idea. "But YOU can HELP them!"
"Oh, GOOD!" they said happily.
"FIRST, you need to
hear the
WHOLE story!" he said. (That way they can fully understand what's going on of this tragic event.)
Dora wants to hear it. "¡Diganos, Señor Almeja!" she said to the clam.
"Tell us, TELL US!" Boots adds.
Once upon a time, there lived a brave mermaid named Mariana. And this is her story…

Deep inside the ocean wide, there was a mermaid kingdom!
Where everyone was happy as can be.
"Our kingdom's the best!"
"Yeah!"
But then a mean old octopus
dumped garbage on their heads.
"HEY!"
Why are you dumping all
that trash
on
me?
"Because
I LOVE IT!!!"
(snickers:) "Ha-haa!"
Young
Mariana
found the
magic
crown
and put
it on!
She made a wish
and suddenly,
the
garbage
was
all gone!
"Hey,
what happened?!"
Once again the kingdom sparkled
up until
the day...
A wave rose up
and
swept the crown
awaaa
aaay!
"Come on! We need your help!"
"Cause now the octopus is back!"
RIGHT!
You've got to
find my
crown!
(Find the crown now!)

"The Mermaid Kingdom is disappearing under all the garbage!"
"You HAVE to help!" said Mariana.
"Mariana the Mermaid needs our help!" Dora gasped.
"The mean octopus dumped garbage
on the Mermaid Kingdom.
Mariana needs her magic crown back to make all the garbage go away."
"Or ALL of the mermaids and mermen will be sick," Boots adds.
"From that yucky, dirty garbage!"
"You must find the magic crown
and bring it to Mariana!" said the clam.
Do you see the the magic crown?
"We found the crown, we found the crown!" cheered Boots.
"¡Encontramos la corona!" adds the clam.
He then sings: "¡Muy BIEEEEEN!"
THAT was close!
He then sings: "¡Muy BIEEEEEN!"

"We've got to bring the magic crown back to Mariana,"
"so she can wish the Mermaid Kingdom clean!" She then asks, "Will YOU help us bring the crown back to Mariana?" Will you?
Unfortunately…
"Dora," said Boots.
"We don't know
HOW to get to the Mermaid Kingdom!"
Very unfortunate, indeed!
Even the clam feels bad for them. And, in an operatic voice, he sings:
"OHHHHHHHHHHHHH,
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" (WOW!)
They need someone who can help.

"Who do we ask for help when we don't know which way to go?"

Even Map is shocked to hear the news about the Mermaid Kingdom! "OH, NO!" he gasped.
"The Mermaid Kingdom's full of garbage!"
"Dora and Boots need to go to the Mermaid Kingdom,
so they can give Mariana her crown."
"I know how to get to the Mermaid Kingdom!"
We have to go over Sea Shell Bridge, across Pirate Island, past the Silly Sea, and that’s how we'll get to the Mermaid Kingdom!
Bridge, Island, Sea, Mermaid Kingdom! Where do we go first?
The bridge, right! Seashell Bridge!
The bridge, right! Seashell Bridge!
Do you see Seashell Bridge?
Bridge, Island, Sea, Kingdom!
We made it to Seashell Bridge!
"Hey,
look at all the numbers!" said Boots.
"Whoa!" yelled Boots.
He quickly jumps off
Then the shell falls down to the water.
And a big splash occurs.
Seashell Bridge
Giant Shell asks if she can help.
"We need to get over the bridge, please!"
Boots explains that they’re in a hurry.
"You have to follow the shells from one to six" said the giant shell. So that must be the reason why one of the shells fell off.
"WE can do THAT!" said Dora with confidence.
What was that?
Uh-oh, that sounds like the octopus!
"Dora, here comes the octopus!"
"Oh!" he said. "You found the Magic Crown,
but I'll make sure you'll NEVER get to the Mermaid Kingdom!"
The bridge is covered in dirt.
There's so much dirt, we can't see the numbers!
"I might have something in my Backpack."
(Smart thinking!)

What can we use to clear the bridge?
The bridge is clean!
Do you see the number one?
Where's the two?
Where's the three?
Where's the four?
Where's the five?
Almost there.
"We're almost across the bridge!
I know what number
comes next!" said Boots.
He accidentally stands on 8 instead of 6.
Wrong number, Boots!
(buzzer)
Oh, good! He hopped off just in time!
(Splash!)
"Whoops!
I don't think that was right!"
"That's okay, Boots!"
What number comes after five?
We made it all the way across the bridge!
The Fiesta Trio on a seashell.
We made it over the bridge, check! Where do we go next?
The island, right! Pirate Island!

Pirate Island has a flag.
Which one is Pirate Island?
But then, there was trouble.
Boots thought he saw something fishy.
"Hey,
I think
that rock is following us!" said Boots.
"I don’t think that’s just a rock." Dora replied.
She asks, "WHO's inside that rock costume?"
(zoop sound)
It's that sneaky Swiper!
It's that sneaky Swiper!
Oh no!
"SWIPER!!" they screamed.
Hey! Come back here you crown thief! Give that back!
"You're
TOO
LATE!" he said.
And just like those other two times, they're gonna make sure he'll NEVER get away with this!
"SWIPER,
WAIT!" yelled Dora.
(STOP!!)
(STOP!!)
(You're not gonna believe in your eyes of this crown, because...)
"That's Mariana the Mermaid's crown!"
"Mariana needs her crown to wish Mermaid Kingdom clean!"
"The garbage is making the mermaids sick,
and
VERY unhappy!", Boots explained to Swiper.
(Now, Swiper noticed that the fault was the Garbage Octopus of destroying the ocean's Circle of Life.)
"Oh,
man!" he said regretting his choice.
"I really like swiping…" he admitted.
(More importantly…) "…but I really, REALLY
like the mermaids!"
"AWWW!!"
"You better bring the crown back to the mermaids,
quick!"
"Thanks,
Swiper!" said Dora.
"You're
welcome!" Swiper replied.
That was close!
But just then...
"Ah-roooooah!
Ah-rooooah!" they hear.
Apparently, they know what it is.
"What was
THAT?"
Who's making that sound?
The octopus put garbage on the whale!
Oh no, the whale can't see where she’s going because there’s garbage on her eye!
Say:
"Stop, whale!"
Louder!
"STOP, WHALE!!!" they all yelled.
"Oh, I can't see anything with all this garbage," said the Whale.
"We can help you, whale."

We went across the bridge, check! And past Pirate Island, check! Where do we go next?

The silly sea is full of silly animals!
Do you see the animals?
The octopus is up to no good again! "Look, there's the octopus!" said Boots.
"Arrgh! That’s a MEAN octopus! He dumps garbage everywhere he goes!"
Everywhere he goes!
He’s so mean!
And he's heading for the
Mermaid Kingdom!
"Hoist the sail, mateys!"
Oh no! The sail is missing!
Boots wonders how they are going to get across the Silly Sea, when the Pirate Pigs lost their sail.
Pirate Pig stops and thinks.
Now he has an idea that came to mind. There are some dolphins
who swim in these waters.
And he believes that they can take Dora and Boots
across the Silly Sea.
but… "If you can find them
that is" said Pirate Pig after he explains his idea about the dolphins.
Dora knows someone who
who can help them find the dolphins:
her cousin Diego!
Boots likes the idea. "Yeah, yeah, yeah!" he said.
DIEGO!!!!!!
Here he comes!
(Take a note that while he is still voiced as Jake T. Austin, he now has the new outfit from his own show with an actual lifejacket rather than his vest becoming one like in both Diego Saves Baby Humpback Whale and on the cover for the "Save the Day!" VHS and DVD.)

"Primo,
we need your help."
"We have to find the dolphins
to give us a ride across the Silly Sea."
"Yeah, we have to bring Mariana the mermaid her magic crown."
"Those dolphins can be hard to find."
"We can use my spotting scope to look for them.”
"Make a spotting scope with your hands to look for the dolphins."
Do you see the dolphins?
There they are!
"I see them,
I SEE THEM!"
"We've got
to call to the dolphins."
"Say,
'Squeak! Squeak!'"
Say it!
They didn't hear you! "LOUDER!" Diego called.
"SQUEAK!

(dolphins squealing)
Here they come!
It worked!
"They heard
us!" said Boots.
"YIPPEE-
DOO!" Pirate Pig cheered.
"I'll
ask them if they'll give you a ride."
"Squeak,
SQUEAK,
squeak,
squeak?"
The dolphins squeak a yes.
Diego tells Dora and Boots. "They said
they'll give you a ride."
"HOORAY!!!" cheered Dora and Boots.
"¡GRACIAS,
Diego!" Dora said while she and Boots give him a hug.
She also thanks the piggies for their help, too! "Thanks,
Pirate Piggies!"

A Chicken fish?! Wow! That silly sea IS INDEED silly!

It’s the Octopus!
"Hey,
that sounds like Benny the Bull and Tico the Squirrel!"
Do you see Benny and Tico?
"Yeah, THERE they are!"
"Tico's taking
Benny waterskiing!" Boots said.
Watch this!
"Wow! Benny is REALLY good!"
"DORA!" cried Boots. "I think Tico's heading
for the garbage!"
"Uh-oh!" Dora gasped.
"We've got to stop him!"
She reminds: "Tico speaks Spanish."
"To tell him to
stop, we say, 'Para'."
Can you say,
"Para"?
Say, "Para"!
He didn't hear us! LOUDER!
"¡PARA!"
"¡PARA!"
"¿Para?" asked Tico.
Tico saw the garbage.
He applied the brakes…
…and stopped just in time!
"YAY!"
"Tico heard
us and
stopped!"
Benny flew into the air.
"WHOA!" Benny shouted.
"Thanks for helping me through the garbage!"
"No podemos dejar la basura aqui." ("We can’t leave the garbage here.")
"Tico says we can't leave the garbage here."
"Yeah, or someone else would get stuck in the garbage!"
Tico has a plan.
He pushes the button.
The garbage gets grabbed out of the water
and into the trash bag.
"YAY, TICO!" cheered Dora.
"¡Muchas gracias!"
"¡De nada!"
"¡Hasta luego, amigos!"
"See you later!"
"My crown! ¡Mi corona!" a voice went.
That sounds like Mariana the Mermaid!
She must be looking for her crown!
Where is the Mermaid?
Thanks, Dolphins!
"I need my crown!"
Dora introducing herself (and Boots) to Mariana.
"Hola." she said, still with a sad tone of voice.
"Mariana! We found your
magic crown!"
(gasps) "You found my crown?!" Mariana said.
"¡Muchas gracias!"
"¡¿Que pasa?!" ("What's going on?!") she says when she got caught in the net. Maybe it’s the octopus who did this.
It IS the octopus! "Oh, no!" cried Dora.
"I won’t let you use that crown!" said the Octopus.
The octopus has trapped Mariana!
"And he's gonna get the crown!
He's gonna get the crown!" yelled Boots.
(And the final PTSD/nightmare is trying to destroy our universe!!)

"Dora, take the crown!" shouted Mariana.
So she threw the crown
Help Dora and Boots catch the crown. Put your hands in the air and…
Catch it!
We got it!
The octopus is surprised.
"Dora, you have to put on the magic crown! It's the mermaids' only hope!"
Dora puts the crown on
Whoa, what’s happening?!
Dora is now a mermaid!
"I'M A MERMAID!!"
"WOW!!"
"Dora! The magic crown will give you just one wish!"
"Make a wish, make a wish!"
The octopus freaks out. "No, no, NO!"
"I wish to get rid of all the garbage…
and save
the
Mermaid
Kingdom!"
SPLASH!
"Look!
Some of the garbage

"But there's
SO MANY!"
"The magic isn't enough!"
"We're going to need help from ALL our friends in the ocean
to clean up the garbage!"
Say, "Clean up time!"

Boots is still watching.
Uh-oh!
There’s Mariana! We’ve got to get her out of that net!
Help Dora and the mermaids pull the net.
Here we go! Pull! Pull! Pull! PULL! PULLL!!!!!
She's freed!
The tension released causes the claw to lose control...
...which causes the net to swing into the Octopus...
...and in the process, the hole in the bottom of the net entangles shut from the motion...
...until finally....
...the net breaks one last time...
...releasing Octopus onto the garbage pile!
(Duck your heads!)
"Look!" said Boots.
"The octopus is on the pile
of garbage!"
"(coughs) Oh,
This garbage smells so bad!"
"You shouldn’t dump garbage where it doesn’t belong octopus!"
"But… but.. but.. (coughs and coughs)
I love to dump garbage."
"No one wants garbage dumped on them!"
(Sniffs the stinky garbage)
"EWW!"
The octopus now regrets what he has done. "Oh, you're right!
I'm really, really sorry!
From now on, all garbage goes to the garbage dump," he said.
"And I'm going to recycle!"
"Promise?" asked Boots.
"I promise!" the octopus said with complete honesty.
"HOORAY!!!"
Shaking his head like crazy and moved on.
"Hey! We can ALL help clean up the garbage!"
"Yeah!"
Clean up, clean up! Everybody clean up!

"Dora, you can stay with us and be a mermaid forever!"
"Oh, Mariana, I love being a mermaid, but I have to go home!"
"And this is YOUR crown!"
"You need it to protect
your kingdom!"
Dora removes the crown...
...and turns back into her human form.
Dora and Mariana hugging.
"Oh, Dora, thank you for cleaning up the Mermaid Kingdom!"
Mariana has a present for Dora. What could it be?
"Here’s a
mermaid necklace!"
Mariana is about to give Dora a special mermaid necklace.
"You
can
put
it
on
and
visit
us
anytime!"
Looks like she loves it!
Dora giving Mariana another big hug. "Oh, we’ll be friends forever!" she said while she does this.
YAY!!!
"We brought the magic crown back to Mariana, and saved the Mermaid Kingdom from all the garbage!"
The Fiesta trio riding seahorses again.

We crossed the Seashell Bridge!
and sailed the
Silly Sea!
Hooray!
And we danced the Conga
with the Coconut Trees!

We picked up all the garbage
from the ocean floor!
And we told Swiper to swipe
That never happened
before!

The octopus will never dump again!
We searched Mariana, and gave her what we found!
