Trivia[]
- Mei and Camila made cameos in this episode.
- This is first episode where Papi is voiced by Julián Rebolledo after voicing the last appearance of King Juan el Bobo in Dora's Dance to the Rescue and the Clam from Dora Saves the Mermaids, replacing Fidel Vicioso. He will continue the role in the spin-off series Dora and Friends: Into the City!.
- This episode also marks Papi's first speaking role since the Season 4 episode Dora's First Trip.
- Rebolledo also voices Tico's father and Boots' father (instead of Adam Sietz).
- When Dora says "Race track, right!", she sounds almost like Caitlin Sanchez from Seasons 5-6.
- Swiper does not appear in this episode, neither did his father appear.
- Even Baby Jaguar doesn't appear with his father Papa Jaguar.
- And Dora's grandfather Abuelito does not appear in this episode.
- Boots does not go with Dora for the whole trip but he does help her through the racetrack.
- However, Little Kite takes Boots' place as Dora's assistant for the episode.
- This is the first episode seeing Dora in her new casual outfit, composed of a pink T-shirt that no longer tilts up in the front, longer shorts that stop at her knees, shorter yellow socks and pink shoes with white accents, to reflect she's gotten a little older.
- This is the first episode where Dora wears her new base outfit in the entire episode.
- As it says about Dora's classic outfit of Seasons 1-6, it will revert back in Dora and the Lost City of Gold and the upcoming reboots for Paramount+.
- The title of this episode means "Happy Father's Day" in Spanish.
- This is the third episode where Boots was not present for the Favorite Parts segment, instead he is replaced with Little Kite.
- While this episode is about Father's Day, this is similar to when Dora and Boots celebrate Mother's Day in the Season 2 episode "El Día De Las Madres" (and the Go, Diego, Go! episode "The Bobo's Mother's Day") which goes with this episode, as it is the Father's Day version of said episode.
- This is the second episode for Benny's grandfather and Isa's father respectively, first being Dora's Pirate Adventure in the crowd of the Pirate Play.
- Dora does not sing the Travel Song in this episode alone without Boots, she instead sings about Father's Day and getting her kite back she made for Papi.
- This episode premiered over a month late of Paramount's centenary (100th anniversary); if that Anniversary logo will appear after the credits.
- Dora and Mami introduce themselves the same way they did in the Mother's Day special, except Dora does so in Spanish and in her most recent voice actress at the time. Here is a comparison:
- The script from this episode goes like this:
- Dora: ¡Hola, soy Dora! And this is my mami!
- Mami: ¡Hola!
- And the script from the episode mentioned goes:
- Dora: Hi, I'm Dora! And this is my mami!
- Mami: ¡Hola!
- The script from this episode goes like this:
