Trivia[]
- It was released on October 5, 2004, along with three other DVD compilations for other Nickelodeon shows.
- The Amanda Show - Volume 1: Amanda, Please!
- The Amanda Show - Volume 2: The Girls' Room
- The Fairly OddParents: Channel Chasers
- Both DVD releases (but not the original VHS) have the namesake special put together with “What Happens Next?”.
- There are two coincidental features in both episodes:
- Both episodes of course feature Dora and Boots encountering many fairytales.
- Both episodes feature the Explorer Stars not appearing until the two episodes' respective destinations (King Lion and Queen Lioness' Castle for the namesake special, and the Rainbow for "What Happens Next?").
- The only differences between those two episodes are as follows:
- The character models for Seven Dwarves appear to be different in each of those respective episodes.
- The Giant-Giant was referred to by his actual name and voiced by Leslie Valdes in the namesake special, while "What Happens Next?" has him referred to as simply "The Giant" and voiced by Brian Maya.
- There are two coincidental features in both episodes:
- While the DVD cover of the DVD’s reissued release (being reissued on March 6, 2012) looks similar to the original release, there are a few differences compared to the original cover aside from an added picture of Dora on the upper left-hand corner.
- To facilitate the added picture of Dora, most of the characters along with the castle are repositioned.
- Speaking of the characters, not counting Dora and Boots, both the Dragon (later the Prince of Fairytale Land) and the Moon are removed from the reissued DVD cover, leaving only the Witch of Fairytale Land, Silly Broomstick & Wand, and the Giant-Giant.
- A likely reason as to why the Witch of Fairytale Land, as well as both Silly Broomstick & Wand, all remained on the cover is because of the fact that they're of course the antagonists of the namesake special.
- A likely reason as to why the Giant-Giant remained on the cover is because of two reasons:
- He, alongside his puppy, were the only characters from Fairytale Land in the namesake special to help Dora on one of her tests (her 2nd one to be exact).
- They're also one of seven characters in general to help Dora on one of her tests. The other characters to do so were the Sun from the Sunshine Bag (who helped her on the 3rd test), Benny, Isa, Tico, and the Explorer Stars (who all helped her on the 4th test).
- As mentioned earlier, both DVD releases (but not the original VHS) have the namesake special put together with his debut episode: “What Happens Next?”.
- He, alongside his puppy, were the only characters from Fairytale Land in the namesake special to help Dora on one of her tests (her 2nd one to be exact).
- The sky had an appearance as if the sun was setting, even though that never happened in the episode.
- The previews from this VHS are the same previews as Max & Ruby: Max & Ruby's Christmas 2004 VHS.
- To facilitate the added picture of Dora, most of the characters along with the castle are repositioned.
- The DVD menu uses the artwork from the prototype cover.
