"Hi, I'm Dora!"
"And this is my Mami."
"¡Hola!" Mami said.
She jumps into Mami's arms. "YAY!"
She explains that they’re getting ready for a BIG Mother's Day party.
She hugs Mami.
Dora has a question for the viewer. That is… "Do you like parties?"
Dora does! "Me too!" she said, "We're going to have cookies,
and decorations,
and presents!"
Mami is excited. "Oooh, presents!"
(both laughing)
Dora told her that she and Papi have a special Mother's Day surprise for her.
"Oh, a surprise! How exciting!", said Mami.
"But you can't come in the kitchen until it's ready!"
She told her she promises not to come in.
Dora tells the viewer that Papi is baking her a cake for Mama for Mother's Day.
Just then, she hears Papi. "Dora?!"
"DORA! I need to see you RIGHT AWAY! ¡RÁPIDO!" Uh-oh! Sounds like an emergency!
"Uh-oh. Sounds like there’s a problem with the cake.”
When she went in, Papi has bad news: three special ingredients are missing!
"Oh, no!"
He explains that without those special ingredients, they can’t make the cake for Mama for Mother's Day.
Dora tells him not to worry. "I'LL get the special ingredients, no matter what!"
"¡Que bien!" said Papi as he hugs her.
"Okay, here's what we need…" Let see what the special ingredients are…
Here they are!
Bananas,
nuts,
and chocolate.
First let's count to see how many bananas we need.
"Count with us!"

Papi gets out a pencil to write the number of each ingredient, just in case Dora forgets. So, ten bananas.

They each got a plan. Papi will start making the cake,
while Dora gets the bananas, nuts, and chocolate.
She couldn’t wait to give Mamí the cake!
"We better hurry!"

Dora should have known where, so she asked the viewer: "Who do we ask for help when we don't know which way to go?"

Dora needs to find the special ingredients for Mami's cake!
"Yummy!" he went. Luckily, Map knows where to find the special ingredients for Mami's cake! Listen carefully...
First, you go to the bananas.
Then, you go through the Nutty Forest.
And then, you go to the Chocolate Tree, for one BIG piece of chocolate!! ("Chocolate!" the Chocolate Tree went.)
However, Map gives a warning: "But watch out for Swiper!" He'll try to swipe all the people's gifts for their mommies, so protect the special ingredients and stop him at all costs!
Where do we go to get the special ingredients for Mami's cake?
Bananas, Nuts, Chocolate Tree. First, we go to the bananas.
Then, we go through the Nutty Forest.
And then, we go to the Chocolate Tree!

She explains to him about the cake she's helping Papi bake, and that's what she’s going to give to her mommy. She also says it will have bananas, nuts, and chocolate.
"Ooh, YUMMY!"
"I love nuts,
I LOVE chocolate,
and I love, LOVE,
LOVE…" What do YOU think?
"…BANANAS!!!"
(slides down the bush)
Dora laughs
and then asks Boots if he wants to help her get the special ingredients so she can make the cake for her Mami.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah!" Boots would be glad to.
"Let's put your picture in the Backpack until the party."
In it goes for safe keeping!
"Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum! ¡DELICIOSO!" said Backpack.

"Right! The basket will hold the bananas.

Dora thinks she heard something.
(clanging continues) There it is again!
Who’s making that sound?
"Hey, it’s Benny the Bull!"
They both say hello. "Hi, Benny!"

"Hi, guys!" said Benny.
Boots likes Benny's cowbell. "Nice bell!"
"Gee, thanks!"
Benny explains that the bell is a present he got for his grandma for Mother’s Day party.
(Clangs again for fun)
Boots is impressed "Wow, Benny!" he went,
That's one loud bell!"
"Nice, huh?!"
(Even more clangs)
(distant whisking) Uh-oh…
"Did you hear THAT?" said Dora.
"That sounds like Swiper the Fox!" (Swiper's ALWAYS trying to swipe our stuff!)
"WHOA!" Benny gasped.
"THAT sneaky fox will try to swipe my grandma's bell!"
He hides it behind his back. Hopefully, it will work, but we'd better keep an eye out for him.
If you see Swiper the Fox, yell "SWIPER!".
(THERE'S SWIPER NOW!)
(HOOP!)

"OH, NO!" hollered Benny.

He swipes the bell.

That mean fox! "Now I won’t have a present
to give my grandma
for Mother's Day.” said Benny as his ears droop.
Dora tells him not to worry before he cries. "Don't worry, Benny!"
"WE'LL help you find that bell!"

Looks like this calls for a listening game! "We have to listen to the sounds to find Benny's bell. Let's listen…"

Boots sees the Nutty Forest up ahead.

Tico made a bracelet for his mamá for the party.
Boots notices that the bracelet is made of nuts. "COOL!"
He asks Tico if he can help them get some nuts.
Dora asks in Spanish. "Tico, ¿puedes ayudarnos a recolectar algunas nueces?"
Sure enough… "¡Si pues claro!"
YAY! Tico is going to help us!
Up the hill he goes.
He shakes the tree.
Oops! He shook it TOO hard!
"Uh oh! Tico better watch out!"
"The nuts are rolling right towards him!"
Tico's gonna have to jump over the nuts! Tico speaks Spanish; so to tell Tico "jump", we say "salta".
Can you say "salta"?
Say, "salta".
Here come the nuts! Tell Tico, "¡Salta!"
¡SALTA!
Tico heard you and he jumped over the nuts.
Now the nuts are rolling towards Boots!
Say, "¡Salta!"
Here they come!

Boots went over the nuts!
"DORA! HERE THEY COME!"
Say, "¡Salta!"

(high-fives) YAY!

He grabs them.

Oh, no! That sounds like Swiper the Fox AGAIN!
He's gonna try to swipe Isa’s flowers!

She explains she needs it for a cake for her Mamí.

Boots notices that the chocolate piece is up REALLY high.

"Great!" said Dora as she puts her basket down.
Put your hands out in the air, and reach really REALLY high!

She tells him that now they have ALL the special ingredients to make Mamí’s cake!

Time to go! "Come on, Boots! Let's go home and make the cake for Mami!"

Back at home… (Note: This scene right here was also used at the beginning of Grandma's House.)
"Papi!" she tells him, "We got ALL the special ingredients for Mami’s cake!"
(They all hug)
Papi wants to see, so here they are!
"Bananas,

and chocolate!" explained Boots.
"¡PERFECTO! You're JUST IN TIME!" cheered Papi. Now let's add the special ingredients…

And Dora has the chocolate ready for Papi.
