Egyptian Camel Adventure is the 18th episode of Go, Diego, Go! from Season 3. In production order, it's the 13th episode of Season 3.

However, this episode was held back and airing on TV as the 7th and final episode of Season 5, as well as the series finale. It is currently unknown why it aired so late.

Characters present[]

  • Diego (final appearance in airing order)
  • Medina (debut)
  • Desert Fox (debut)
  • Sand Cat (debut)
  • Jamal (debut)
  • Camels (debut)

Today, Diego is visiting his friend Medina in the deserts of Egypt to learn all about camels, as well as the desert is different than the rainforest! But when they realize that the river in Medina's town is drying out, they must find a way to fill it up again for all the camels and other desert animals.

Camel Facts learned[]

  • Camels live in the desert of Egypt, not the rainforest because it's too rainy.
  • Camels eat thorny plants such as cactuses, not bricks.
  • Camels use their double eyelashes to protect themselves from sandstorms. They don't wear sunglasses.
  • Camels have humps that can store lots of food, not flippers like marine animals.

Sound of the Camel[]

Bleat! Bleat!

  • Alicia, Click, Rescue Pack, Rescue Rope, Baby Jaguar, and the Bobo Brothers don't appear at all in this episode.
    • Although the Bobos didn't appear, the student camels who are complaining about their water supply said the phrase "Whoops, sorry!" to their teacher.
  • Italian actor and singer, Adam Alexi-Malle, guest stars as Jamal the Camel in this episode.
  • Medina says "See you soon!" at the end, because Alicia is not in this episode.
  • This episode never aired on the main Nickelodeon channel because the show was pulled off on February 15, 2013.
  • This episode was first seen on "Great Gorilla!" DVD in June 2008 and did not premiere on TV until July 13, 2013 for unknown reasons.
  • Aside from Medina taking Alicia's place, the Let's Review Segment of the Animal Rescue Center is different as Medina's computer has a symbol with pyramids and camels in the desert, and her headquarters is located in Egypt instead of the rainforest.
  • This is the fourth time in the franchise that the audience gets to learn another language other than Spanish after Dora's World Adventure! (French, Swahili, Russian, and Mandarin Chinese), Diego's Safari Rescue (Swahili once again), and Kicho's Magic Flute (Quechua). In this case, they got to learn some Arabic. It would happen once more in the main series episode Dora's Super Soccer Showdown, in which the viewer is introduced to Portuguese.
  • Despite premiering in 2013 on the Nick Jr. Channel, this episode aired on Toggolino sometime around 2010.
  • Although this episode was produced in Season 3, it aired during Season 5, in July 13 2013.
  • This is the only episode of Go, Diego, Go! to premiere in 2013.
  • This episode was originally an old episode but when Nick Jr. aired this on TV on July 13, 2013, some people thought it was new and old (because it is seen on two DVDs first before it aired on TV).
  • Although it premiered in 2008 on DVD, 2009 on (Nick Jr. UK and Nickelodeon Canada), 2010 on Toggolino and 2013 on Nick Jr., it was actually made in 2007 according to the credits, taking 5 years to air due to this being a pushed-back episode.

  • In the Let's Review Segment, Diego was supposed to ask two questions, not three.
