Trivia[]

  • This episode reveals Baby Jaguar's age. He turns 3 years old in this episode.
    • This means he was 2 years old in all previous episodes from last 5 seasons and in Go, Diego, Go!.
      • Additionally, the two extra candles on Baby Jaguar's birthday cake foreshadow his coming-of-age the Dora and Friends episode For the Birds (5 years old).
  • Benny and Tico are shown wearing dinosaur costumes in this episode.
  • This is the second instance where Dora to uses the travel cape after using it with Swiper in Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure.
    • This is the first time Diego uses a travel cape.
      • Additionally, Fiesta Trio had travel capes of their own.
  • Boots does not travel with Dora in this episode because he was staying at the party while waiting for Baby Jaguar to come back, so Diego travels with Dora instead.
  • The Fiesta Trio play their regular fanfare once instead of twice in most episodes.
  • This is the 166th episode of the show.
  • The Travel Song is not sung in this episode.
  • Dora and Diego sing Shake Your Travel Cape in this episode, it was featured in Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure and it was first sung by Dora and Swiper.
    • This episode also features a reanimated flashback resembling a scene featuring Dora and the Grumpy Old Troll from said episode.
  • This episode is somewhat similar to Baby Dino.
    • Additionally, it could also be Dora's version of Diego's Great Dinosaur Rescue, except this is a half-hour episode unlike said Go, Diego, Go! episode which is double-length.
  • Both Backpack and Map say "Yeah! ¡Lo hicimos!" together in the end of We Did It!.
  • This is the third Dora the Explorer episode featuring Diego and Alicia's Animal Rescue Center from Go, Diego, Go!. The first was Dora Saves Three Kings Day and School Science Fair.
    • Because of this as well as the fact that Diego joins Dora for the entire trip, this episode could be considered the second proper crossover between Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! (even though the latter show had already ceased production). The first was the aforementioned Dora Saves Three Kings Day.
  • This episode premiered exactly 13 years after Berry Hunt.
  • This episode premiered the day before Halloween 2013.
  • Swiper doesn't appear in this episode, or being invited to Baby Jaguar's birthday party.
  • Boots is not present for the Favorite Parts segment, instead he is replaced with Diego and Baby Jaguar.
  • Surprisingly, Mama Jaguar, Daisy, the Bobo Brothers, and Diego's parents do not appear at Baby Jaguar's birthday party.
  • In the YouTube version, the intro does play, but it jump-cuts to the episode without a fade-in, as well as to the credits without a fade-out (much like the episodes from Seasons 1-4). The credits and cloud scenes play at warp speed with the beginning music, cut off by the ending of the low-pitched Nickelodeon music while the logo also plays at warp speed, followed by a slide to the left.
    • The episode first appeared on Saturday, June 3, 2023 as part of an episode marathon, before appearing alone three days later on Tuesday, June 6.

Goofs/Errors[]

  • Argentina is revealed to speak Spanish, but when Diego said "Argentina is an Argentinosaurus, one of the largest dinosaurs ever," Argentina nods her head yes.
  • There is no path to the Birthday Party, yet it shows up on Map due to cartoon logic.
  • When Diego shows the viewer(s) that they get cake, it had a yellow stripe on the edge. When he gives the cake to them, the stripe is gone.
  • Dora, Diego, and Baby Jaguar list the Quetzalcoatlus, the Argentinosaurus, and the Tyrannosaurus Rex as "prehistoric animals with really long necks". Only the second dinosaur mentioned has that.
  • It is unknown how the Fiesta Trio got their own travel capes.
