Characters present[]

Dora and Diego are on their way to a big surprise: It's Boots and Baby Jaguar's Amazing Animal Circus!

It all begins with Diego visiting at Dora's house after a game of frisbee. Boots and Baby Jaguar are setting up their own circus, so he, Dora and sleeping Sammy hurry to go there. At the Troll Bridge, Big Red Chicken carries his Little Chick cousins to the circus but Mr. Troll sees them heavier than the big daddy elephant causing the bridge to break so Big Red Chicken has to cross the bridge all by himself with the Little Chicks following. The cousins then went to the Whistling Duck Pond where they stop Swiper from swiping Isa's stilts and Tico is asked for giving all the circus crew a ride. When they reached the circus, Boots helps Sammy wake up for their performance. And the circus is without a doubt a massive success, especially with Swiper's act.

  • The title of this episode is a nod to the movies "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" (1989) and "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey" (1990).
  • A balance scale was next to the Troll Bridge in this episode.
  • This is the first instance where Diego and Big Red Chicken cross the Troll Bridge.
  • Swiper does a good-deed by catching Sammy the sloth on the flying trapeze as an acrobat.
  • This is the 147th episode of the show.
  • This is one of the few episodes that is not found on any home media, not even on a compilation DVD.
  • The Travel Song is replaced by a new song called "Amazing Animals Song".
  • Boots doesn't travel with Dora in this episode due to running the circus with Baby Jaguar. Diego travels with her instead, just like in Dora and Diego to the Rescue.
  • This is one of the rare instances that the Grumpy Old Troll and Big Red Chicken speak Spanish. They asked, "¿Nos puedes llevar?" to Tico so that he can give them a ride.
  • The Troll Bridge is the first place in this episode Dora and Diego went to go, it was actually just the first place before in the previous episode Perrito's Big Surprise. Therefore, that is two episodes in a row it appeared.
  • This episode premiered exactly 9 years after What Happens Next? premiered on Nickelodeon and 7 years after Baby Jaguar's Roar premiered in the UK.
  • León, Boots' parents and sisters, Mama Jaguar, Diego's parents, and Alicia (and even Click the Camera and the Bobo family since they only appear on Go, Diego, Go!) do not appear in this episode.
  • Daisy, Yuki, Mei's father, Pablo, and Camilla make cameo appearances in the audience.
  • This circus episode could be a sequel to the Season 2 episode "León, the Circus Lion".
  • In the YouTube version, when the intro ends, it jump-cuts to the episode in Season 1-4 style (no fade from black). The episode then whooshes to the left at the end for the fast-paced credits and cloud scenes with the second half of the music, and because of a goof/error, the 2013 low-pitched Nickelodeon logo from Season 8 plays its theme at normal speed (see below), before whooshing to the left.

  • Unlike other episodes, when Dora, Diego, and Isa stop Swiper, they don't look at him, they instead look at the viewer.
  • In the end of this episode in YouTube, it uses the credits version of Kittens in Mittens.
