- In the story castle, Dora once called Boots "Mr. Riddles", a reference to Season 1 episode, Call Me Mr. Riddles.
Trivia[]
- This is the first time Dora becomes a knight that seemed like Joan de Arc in production order.
- This special took place before Dora's Knighthood Adventure.
- Although a Season 6 episode (and a Pre-Season 7 episode), this episode was aired during Season 7.
- This is the last episode to be broadcast in 4:3 standard definition for airing order (Swiper's Favorite Things is the last Pre-Season 7 episode in 4:3 SD for production order).
- This is the last episode featuring Dora in her casual outfit from Seasons 1-6. She continues to wear her pink shirt, and her orange shorts, but this is the last time she is seen wearing her original white shoes (Swiper's Favorite Things is the last Pre-Season 7 episode in 4:3 SD for production order before transitioning to 16:9 HD and adapting new 3D animation).
- This is the first episode where Dora transforms into a princess, and the third episode where she wears a dress for the entire episode, after Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure, and The Grumpy Old Troll Gets Married.
- This episode still features the Blue Cursor clicking on answers, and is the last to do so. However, it will still click on finding the missing objects in several Season 7 episodes.
- This is the last episode to use the instrumental tune of the main theme song for season 3-6 in the credits, and the last time the music is heard since 2003 for airing order (Dora's Easter Adventure is the last episode to use it for the production order).
- Dora is now voiced by Fátima Ptacek instead of Caitlin Sanchez (for the first time in production order).
- Ptacek will later voice Dora in the next 2 seasons in HD, and in the spin-off/sequel series, Dora and Friends: Into the City!, starting with We Have a Pirate Ship!.
- This is the last double-length episode of the main show where Dora and Boots wear their final outfits for the Favorite Parts segment; starting with Dora In Wonderland, they switch back to their regular outfits.
- Swiper did not want to swipe the books, he just wanted to read only one of them. Luckily for him, Rocinante let him read one of them which is about puppies. He was seen on his good side immediately after. He then thanked Rocinante for giving him the book.
- However, Malambruno technically still takes Swiper's place as the antagonist.
- Once again, however, just like with the Witch from Dora Saves the Prince, Señor Shush from Dora, La Música, the Prince of Cloud Castle from Star Catcher, the Dog Catcher from Save the Puppies!, Pirate Pig from Dora's Pirate Adventure (Pirate Pig and his crew's only appearances as the antagonists), the Dancing Elf from Dora's Dance to the Rescue, the Garbage Octopus from Dora Saves the Mermaids, Pech from The Mayan Adventure, the Greedy King from Dora Saves the Crystal Kingdom, and Owl from the Enchanted Forest trilogy, Malambruno reforms himself, and is forgiven by Dora, Boots, Benny, Isa, Tico, Swiper, Don Quixote, Rocinante, and Dapple for his actions.
- This is the fourth double-length episode where Swiper has a minor role, after Dora's Pirate Adventure, Dora Saves the Snow Princess, and Dora's Big Birthday Adventure.
- However, Malambruno technically still takes Swiper's place as the antagonist.
- Benny is shown dressed up as a dragon costume.
- This is the 11th double-length episode of the series.
- This is the 151st episode of the show.
- King Juan el Bobo is seen in a cover of a blue book in the castle's library. But his last physical appearance was Dora's Dance to the Rescue.
- The opening sequence of the episode is recycled from Dora Saves the Snow Princess and Dora Saves the Crystal Kingdom, both of which come from the Magic Storybook Trilogy alongside Dora's Big Birthday Adventure.
- However, this episode has NO connection with the Magic Storybook Trilogy.
- The episode premiered exactly 10 years after Click! premiered, 7 years after Boots to the Rescue premiered in the UK, 5 years after Dora Saves the Mermaids premiered, and 2 years after Dora's Pegaso Adventure premiered.
- This episode on Nick Jr. premiered exactly 10 years after ¡Rápido, Tico! premiered.
- Backpack was checked twice in this episode.
- Dora and Boots don't sing the Travel Song in this episode, they instead sing "Stop! I'm a Knight!".
- This is the fifth time Dora is alone on the screen when she asks the viewer what their favorite part was, after We All Scream for Ice Cream, Boo!, Boots' Cuddly Dinosaur, and Baby Jaguar's Roar.
- If one looks closely, there is a picture of King Juan el Bobo on a blue book at the library in the castle, as well as a picture of Mariana the Mermaid in a purple book.
- Plácido Domingo, the Spanish Opera Singer of Spain, is a guest voice actor in this episode as Malambruno.
- This is the last episode where Backpack and Map appear 2D animated during their segments. Beginning with Season 7, they will become 3D animated (CGI) whenever they're used.
- However, in production order, Map appears 2D animated once more in Dora's Knighthood Adventure.
- It is also the last episode (until Dora's Easter Adventure) in which Map zoom wipes with his mouth open.
- This episode and Dora's Knighthood Adventure would later draw similarities to the MCU movies Avengers III: Infinity War and Avengers IV: Endgame respectively.
- This is the only episode to be storyboarded by Gloria Y. Jenkins, before she went to Moonscoop, LLC (now Splash Entertainment, LLC) as a storyboard artist on some season 1 episodes and season 2, with her storyboard artist partner, Kevin Gollaher on Lalaloopsy the Nick Jr. television show, and the movies Lalaloopsy: Festival of Sugary Sweets and Lalaloopsy: Band Together and working on the Woody Woodpecker (2018 web short) Class Dismissed
- This was the last episode that premiered before being pulled from Toggolino's lineup before the rebrand in 2014.
- When Dora looks sad of what Malambruno said why he never learned to read a book, one can clearly see that Dora's eyebrows are a little visible.
- There is an online game that is based on this episode, which is where the player is tasked with solving all sorts of riddles at each gate, using the correct books with the correct pictures that would help solve the riddles at the gates.
Goofs/Errors[]
- During the fanfare at the end of the episode, the Fiesta Trio had music sheets instead of their instruments. It is unknown how their fanfare would play if they don't have their instruments.
