Dora's Night Light Adventure is the 18^th episode (15^th in US airings) of Dora the Explorer from Season 8. This is also the final episode of the series in production order, but there are more episodes to be airing in the future. (Hence the 2024 New Generation reboot)

• This is the last episode of the series in production order.
  • Coincidentally, Dora tells the story about the Big Red Chicken in the exact same big red book from the very first Season 1 episode, The Legend of the Big Red Chicken, she also mentions that he loves doing his chicken dance in the story when he's happy and he is seen as his Season 1 self too.
• Dora and Boots do not sing the Travel Song in this episode, they instead sing "Go Nightlight".
• Isa and Backpack do not appear in this episode.
• However, Backpack appears during the We Did It! song as her cameo appearance. But only Map sings We Did It.
• This is Mami, Papi, and Big Red Chicken's last appearance in Dora the Explorer.
  • Outside the US, it's also Diego, Benny, and Tico's last appearance too. However, in USA airings, they would appear once more in Dora's Animalito Adventure (Diego and Tico) and Let's Go to Music School (Benny).

• This is the last episode where Swiper is encountered only once.
• This episode premiered exactly 16 years after León, the Circus Lion (in US airings).
• This is the final episode to not premiere on the main Nickelodeon network.
• This is Señor Burro's third appearance.
• This is one of few episodes where Dora has a sad look; she seems to be looking sad when Swiper swipes and kidnaps Night Light.
  • This also marks one of few times Dora's eyebrows are visible like in Dora's Dance to the Rescue and Baby Crab.
• Night Light is the tenth character whom Swiper targets after Backpack, Little Star, Benny the Bull (as "Benny the Potato"), Jack, the Snow Fairy, Baby Bongo, Scooter, and Circle.
• The early Season 1 version of swiping music is used.
• The episode's title is similar to Dora's Moonlight Adventure.
