Facts about humpback whales learned[]

  • Humpback whales live in the ocean, not the city because there's no water.
  • Humpback whales can jump out of the water. They cannot drive cars because they can't have driver's licenses, nor can they drive a car because they are much bigger than cars as adult humpback's can grow up to 40 feet long being the size of a school bus and can weigh from 50,000 to 80,000 pounds.
  • Humpback whales swim fast by splashing with their tails, not their noses.
  • Humpback whales bend their backs in a hump shape when they dive underwater to get to the bottom of the ocean. They cannot fly due to gravity and a lack of wings.
    • That is also why they are called Humpback whales.
  • Humpback whales sing whale songs to call to other humpback whales nearby.
  • Humpback whales are afraid of orcas.
  • Humpback whales can blow air bubbles from their blowholes underwater.

Trivia[]

  • This is Baby Humpback's second appearance. His first was in Diego Saves Baby Humpback Whale.
    • Additionally, he is now voiced by Joshua Santiago instead of Hans Alpizar.
  • This is the first episode featuring the song Mas Abajo, which means "Even lower" in Spanish. It will be heard again in Manatee's Mermaid Rescue and Tuga Helps the Moon.
  • This episode is the second episode to feature a king the first being King Momo from Linda the Llama Saves Carnival, though this episode debuts the first animal king, that being the king of the humpback whales, and later on the twin gorilla kings in Gorilla Fun.
  • Despite that Diego and Alicia are in a boat that's very big and does not need to rowed, they still wear white lifejackets of their special vests like Dora and Boots did in Star Catcher of sailing to the Stormy Seas with the Explorer Stars to save Woo-Hoo. In real life, the people do not need them for a boat like that.
    • However, during the scene of waiting for Baby Humpback whale, Diego and Alicia have ordinary vests.
  • This is not only the first Go, Diego, Go! episode to feature another "Al Rescate" song, but also, the first episode where the song has a new different instrumental.
  • When Click says, "Yes! That's It!" the audio is taken from Baby Jaguar to the Rescue.
  • When Diego says, "¡Activate!" in a high pitch, the audio is taken from Pepito's Penguin School and Diego's Great Dinosaur Rescue.
  • In this episode, Rescue Pack transforms into two items instead of three.
  • The Humpback Whale call in the episode sounds like the part from the intro to Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song".
