==Summary==
Oh, no! A baby Humpback Whale is stuck on the beach and can't get home to his mommy. Diego will need to catch a big wave to get the baby whale to his family.

==Plot==
The episode starts down at the front of the [[Animal Rescue Center]] where [[Diego Márquez|Diego]] is seen happily playing with the animals there being some goats, tapir, capybara, and toucans. He introduces himself and asks a question to the viewer at home that being ["do you like animals"]. Afterwards, he tells the viewers about how he is an animal rescuer as he wanders around to look for his friend [[Baby Jaguar]]. 

He walks up the path noticing [[Diego's Father|his father Nico]] who is an animal scientist riding his mountain bike down the path as he gets his dads attention. He asks if he has seen Baby Jaguar, but his dad tells him he's been up in the mountains with his feathered friend [[Aldo|Aldo the Hawk]] as they were watching hawks build their nests. Diego and his dad call out to the hawk shouting "kee kee" as Aldo swoops down. Diego asks if he's seen baby jaguar, Aldo says that Baby Jaguar is down by the river and fly's back up into the sky.

Diego's father then says that his mom is down by the river, so Diego decides to go down to see if his mom knows where the little rainforest feline is. He goes to the river as [[Diego's mother|his mother Sabrina]], who also is an animal scientist, arrives in a motorboat. Diego greets his mother as she greets him back. He asks if she's seen Baby Jaguar, but she tells him that she has been out on the river making a rescue call. He pulls a little caiman out of her boat and hands it to Diego, as Diego asks the viewer what's wrong with the little caiman then stating that its eye is red. His mother says that the caiman has an eye infection (specifically pinkeye) as Diego hands the caiman back to his mother as he goes on to look for Baby Jaguar.

Suddenly, a loud distressed growl is heard as its shown to be Baby Jaguar calling for help hanging from a tree. Diego swings from vines fast to get to Baby Jaguar as the branch snaps as he starts tumbling down to the ground. Diego then asks for help from the viewer to reach out and catch Baby Jaguar as he successfully catches him. Baby Jaguar thanks Diego and the viewer for catching him, as they swing up to a nearby tree and gaze over the rainforest and see the Animal Rescue Center. The two swing on a vine to it as the animals of the forest congratulate for Diego for a great rescue.

The boys swing back to the science deck and Diego checks up on Baby Jaguar who states he is ok now. Alicia enters the scene as Diego introduces his older sister stating how she is an animal rescuer like Diego as she says hello. Suddenly they hear another voice calling out for help with a loud distressed "hawoo-hawoo (ahoo-wah)" sound. The kids know that there is another animal in trouble as the rush inside the science deck and Alicia starts typing up on her computer as they have to find out which animal is in trouble. Diego says that they need [[Click|their special Camera Click]] to find the animal. The duo asks the viewer to "[[Say "Click!"|Say Click]]" as the camera comes to life and sings her song.

Click introduces herself and tells the viewer they need to find the animal in trouble. She then plays the sound of the animal calling for help, "hawoo-hawoo (ahroo-ah)". She starts to zoom through the forest and have the viewer listen for the animal. The first animal gives a loud "Growl", but it's not the animal in trouble, it's a puma. She zooms again the second animal is in a tree and squawks, still not the animal in trouble, this time it's a scarlet macaw. Click zooms once more as it shows the ocean on a beach as the third animal squeals out "Ahroo-ah! - Ahroo-ah" it's the animal in trouble, a whale, specifically a humpback whale. Click then proceeds to tell some facts about the humpback whale those being; "When a humpback whale dives, it bends its back in a hump shape", "Humpback whales make REALLY big waves by splashing with their tails", and "When a humpback whale breathes, they spray out of their blowholes".

Click snaps the photo of the humpback whale and asks the viewer to tell Diego the animal in trouble is a humpback whale. Diego asks the viewer what animal is in trouble as click closes her shutter screen and the image of the whale shows up on a large screen over her. Diego then sees that it's a humpback whale and notices that it's a [[Baby Humpback Whale|<u>'''baby'''</u> humpback whale]], and the fact that he is all by himself. Alicia mentions that baby humpback whales travel with their mothers and that this baby should be with his. The baby whale shouts sadly for his mother and then squeals helplessly. Diego and Alicia need to see more of the picture, so they ask Click to zoom out with the help of the viewer. They notice he's stuck on a rocky island in the middle of the ocean. Diego then rushes out to go rescue the baby humpback whale and bring him back to his mother, but not before Baby Jaguar wishes him good luck on rescuing the whale, and Alicia giving him his [[Rescue Pack]]. Diego then zips down the Animal Rescue Center zip line while singing [[Al Rescate|Al Rescate Amigos]]. 

Just after making it to the rainforest floor, it ironically starts to rain in the rainforest. He turns his rescue vest into a raincoat as he dashes through the rain only to have his path blocked by swinging vines. He doesn't know how to get through the vines without getting tangled. He then thinks to bend his back and duck under the vines as he proceeds to recall a humpback whale fact "Humpback whales bend their backs when they dive underwater". He asks the viewer if they can bend their backs like a humpback whale and he goes under the vines successfully. Then, he is blocked by more vines, but these ones have spiders living on them and Diego does not want to bother the spiders. He bends his back again and ducks under the vines and makes it passed the second set of vines. He then gets stopped again by a third section of vines with more animals wrapped around them, this time being snakes. Diego asks the viewer to bend their back one more time as he makes it through all the vines and didn't bother the spiders and snakes. The rain stops and Diego changes his coat back to a vest. Just then the baby humpback whale calls out for help and makes his whale sound again. Diego and the viewer call back making the whale sound to tell him he’s on his way. 

Diego is lead up to a three-way fork in the path and asks the viewer for some help to think like scientists to decide which path to go down. The first path is green and full of lots of plants and trees so it’s likely to take him back to the rainforest. The second path is yellow and sandy as seagulls fly above and squawk and call out, so he assumes that path leads to the ocean. The third path is brown and rocky and goes up, so he thinks it leads up to the mountains. Diego takes a moment to ask if whales live in the ocean, the rainforest, or the mountains. He goes to the sandy path and follows the seagulls as he arrives at the beach. He sees it’s blocked by a red fencing and sand dunes as they are there to protect the beach and Diego is not allowed to walk on the sand dunes though he has to get over the sand dunes if he's going to get to the baby whale. He then springs the idea to use his rescue pack as he asks the viewer to shout "Activate".

Just like that, [[Rescue Pack]] is awake and sings [[Rescue Pack (song)|his song]], Rescue Pack then tells the viewers how Diego needs something to <u>'''fly'''</u> over the sand dunes. he first transforms into a rubber raft and asks if it can fly over the sand dunes, it can't. He then transforms into a bicycle and asks if it can fly over the sand dunes, that's silly. He finally transforms into a hot air balloon and asks if it can fly over the sand dunes, it sure can. So he says to tell Diego he needs a hot air balloon. Diego asks what he needs as he transforms Rescue Pack into a hot air balloon. Just then, the hot air balloon won't go up for some reason, a loud shout of "Bobo's Bobo's" and giggles fill the air. The [[Bobo Brothers]] arrive on the scene and are bouncing around on top of the balloon as it cannot rise into the air. Diego then says how they have to stop the Bobos, or they will never make it to the baby humpback whale. Then, he says to stop the Bobos by saying those magic words of "[[Freeze, Bobos!|Freeze, Bobo's]]" as they stop bouncing on the balloon with a "whoops sorry" and land on a nearby palm tree. Diego congratulates the viewer on stopping the Bobos as he soars high in the sky over the sand dunes as he eventually lands closer to the main beach.  

He then spots three rocky islands as the baby humpback whale is stuck on one of them. The only problem he doesn't know which on the cetacean in on. Diego then recalls another fact about the humpback whale "When whales breathe, they spray out of their blowholes". Diego then asks the viewers if they see any humpback whale spray, soon enough from the island in the middle a spout of water shoots up from behind the island. Diego concludes that it's the island with the baby whale. 

But right as he starts rushing down, he stops right in his tracks as he notices giant stinging jellyfish are in the water. He mentions how the jellyfish could sting him, but he has to get to that whale. He pulls out his field journal to find an animal who can scare away the jellyfish, a turtle he finds a giant sea turtle. Specifically, he finds a leatherback sea turtle as he can ride on the back to the turtle and the turtle will scare away the jellyfish. He then asks the viewer if they see a sea turtle as a leatherback pops her head out. An [[Orange Cursor|orange cursor]] clicks on her and Diego recognizes the turtle as [[Tuga]]. Tuga approaches Diego as Diego asks Tuga if she can help him in Spanish. She agrees as Diego goes to transform his vest into a lifejacket, which changes color becoming orange. 

Diego jumps onto Tuga's shell as he and the turtle start to sing a special word being "[[Nademos]]" in order to help Tuga swim since she speaks Spanish as Diego asks the viewer to sing along. One by one, Diego and Tuga swim by the jellyfish while singing the song as the jellyfish don't even try to sting as they swim by not wanting to be eaten by Tuga. Soon Diego's video watch beeps as Alicia calls Diego from the Animal Rescue Center. Alicia warns Diego that he and Tuga are being chased and they have to swim faster. Diego gets nervous when he hears chased and asks the viewer if they see who's chasing them, the view pans out to a school of sharks as they chomp their teeth. Diego notices the sharks as he asks the viewers to help them swim even faster to out swim the sharks. They swim super-fast and out speed the sharks as they arrive on the rocky island. 

Diego thanks Tuga and say adios to her, as Tuga swims away Diego mentions how they made it to the rocky island, but he does not see the baby humpback whale. He asks if the viewer does see the humpback whale, as the view zooms out as the whale is splashing the water with his tail and just stuck there. Diego sees the baby whale calling out for help and making his whale sound as he is in need of a rescue. Diego dashes over to baby humpback whale as he introduces himself to the large mammal and tells him that he is going to help him get back in the water. The humpback thanks Diego. Diego pulls out a sun hat and lowers it into the water and pours the ocean water onto baby humpback to keep him cool and keep his skin from getting too dry. He then goes into the water to splash some water from the back so he can keep the other half of the whale wet. When doing this, the baby humpback whale lifts up a bit as the splash of water made a little wave that lifted him up, but Diego thinks they will need a bigger wave to move the baby whale back into the ocean. Just then Diego remembers the third humpback whale fact, "Humpback whales make "big waves by splashing with their tails". 

Diego then realizes that they need to find more humpback whales to help him. He asks the viewer to call out to [[The Humpback Whale Family|the humpback whale family]] by making the whale sound, "Ahrooo-ah". The humpback whales rise from the water as they had found the pod that baby humpback was from. The whales start swimming towards them as Diego spots the [[Mommy Humpback whale|baby humpback's mom]]. She shouts out to her baby, and he shouts back to her wanting to be back together. Diego then pats baby humpback whale over the head and promises he will get him back to his mom. Diego pulls the cord on his vest as it turns orange and into a life jacket again. He positions himself on a rock, when a humpback whale swims by Diego leaps into the air and lands on its back riding on it into the sea.  Diego then says how they have to tell the whales to splash with their tails by saying "Splash Whales". The humpback whales start to splash the water with their tails as waves crash along the island. Baby humpback whale moves a bit, but not enough to get him off the island. 

Diego asks the viewer for help to splash with the humpback whales by putting their hands out in front of them and splashing the water. Diego's whale lowers into the water a bit so he can help the whales splash as they all splash the water as more waves crash and baby humpback if almost free. They need to make on more splash, so Diego directs everybody to make a '''GIANT''' wave. The whales all raise their tails high up as Diego holds up his hands high in the air as he shouts "SPLASH". The tails and hands all work together as one massive wave forms and crashes along the rocky island and lifts baby humpback whale up and into the open ocean. It worked! The big waved carried baby humpback whale back to his mother as they are reunited as swimming happy again. 

Diego is happy that they all worked together and shouts how they saved the humpback whale, as the final [[Animal end song|song about the humpback whale]] starts. They sing about how they saved the humpback, and both Alicia and Baby Jaguar join into the song via coming out to sea in the rescue speed boat. They mention what they learned like how the humpback whales got a hump on its back and when he dives in the water he bends it way back, how they splash with their tails, and how when they breath they spray from their blowholes as the song finished with them making the whale call left and right, with the song ending off on a happy note as baby humpback whale and his mom jump high out of the water to end it with a big splash.  

Baby Humpback swims to the boat and thanks Diego for saving him as he dives back under the sea. Diego says his line of "mission compleda rescue complete" and how the viewer is a great animal rescuer. Diego, Alicia, and Baby Jaguar say gracias to the viewer as the shot zooms out from the speed boat and the kids and feline wave bye, showing the humpback whale pod swimming circles around their boat while spraying water from their blowholes as their way of saying thanks for saving the day.

*This episode was meant to serve as the pilot for the series.
**This episode should have been the first episode in production order and/or the first episode aired, as it has many elements to introduce the show.
*Going by production order, this is not only Baby Jaguar's first appearance in the spin-off series, but also the first time he speaks (as he didn't speak in the main show). His first time speaking in airing order would be [[Rescue of the Red-Eyed Tree Frogs!|Rescue of the Red-Eyed Tree Frogs]].
*This episode introduces Diego's parents, who are also Dora's aunt and uncle.
**This is also the first time they have a speaking role.
*Beginning with this episode, whenever Baby Jaguar meows, it is accompanied by a realistic growling noise.
*This episode debuts two new recurring animal friends the first fully aquatic those being Tuga the leatherback sea turtle and Baby Humpback Whale, who was also the rescue of the day.
*There are some noticeable differences in this episode compared to every other episode of the series:

***She also appears at least three times her normal size.
***Also, for reasons unknown, when Click introduces herself after singing [[Say "Click!"]], she isn't smiling at all, which is what she normally does when she introduces herself, no matter how serious the animal (depending on the episode) in trouble needs help. In fact, the only parts where she's really smiling are when she's singing her song and reminding the viewer to tell Diego what she found. Usually, whenever Click frowns, she only does so outside her segments and is always silent.
**The computer Alicia uses in the episode looks way different, looking more like some mission control console.
**There was also no computer segment this episode for the humpback whale, breaking the streak of the [[Rescue of the Red-Eyed Tree Frogs!|tree frog]], [[Diego Saves the Mommy and Baby Sloth|sloth]], and [[Chinta the Baby Chinchilla|chinchilla segments]], Click tells the facts about the humpback whale, and this is probably the only time she does.

****During the first animal action of bending their backs like humpback whales, Diego makes a dangerous move and looks at the viewer and bends his back while driving and somehow goes safely without hitting any whales or other marine life.
***The melody is in the key of F major instead of the usual E major.
** When Diego was looking for Tuga, an [[Orange Cursor|orange cursor]] appeared. This may hint that the show was going to have a similar computer concept to ''Dora the Explorer''.
***The orange cursor is mostly used for Diego and Alicia's explanations of the animal and during the [[Let's Review]] segment, but shows up when needed.
**At the end of the episode, the picture of the humpback whale doesn't get printed out nor does it go in the animal science book. They did say they can print it out and put it in the animal science book, though, so they may have done it offscreen after the end of this episode.
