Diego's Papi: Hola, Diego.

Diego: Hola. Papi, I've been looking for Baby Jaguar. Have you seen him?

Diego's Papi: Sorry, Diego, I've been up in the mountain with Aldo the Hawk. We were watching hawks build their nests. I haven't seen Baby Jaguar. But we can ask Aldo!

Diego: Let's all call to Aldo the Hawk. Say...

Diego and Papi: Kee, kee!

Diego: Louder!

Diego and Papi: Kee, kee!

[Aldo flies down]

Diego: Aldo, I've been looking for my friend, Baby Jaguar. Have you seen him?

Aldo: He's down by the river.

[Aldo flies away]

Diego's Papi: I think Mami is down by the river.

Diego: Maybe I should ask Mami! ¡Buen idea!

Diego's Papi: See you later, Diego, I love you!

Diego: Love you too, Papi!

[At the river...]

That's my Mami! She's an animal scientist, too! ¡Hola, Mamí!

Diego's Mami: ¡Hola, Diego!

Diego: Mami, have you seen Baby Jaguar?

Diego's Mami: I've been out on the river making a rescue call.

[She reveals an ailing baby caiman]

Diego: Oh, no! This little caiman is sick! Do you see what's wrong with the baby caiman? Yeah, his eye is red!

Diego's Mami: He's got an eye infection. I need to give him some eye drops.

Diego: Here you go! Bye, little caiman! Mami is going to take good care of you. I better keep looking for Baby Jaguar!

Diego's Mami: I hope he's not in any trouble!

[She kisses Diego and leaves]

Diego: Hmm, I wonder where Baby Jaguar is!

[Suddenly...]

Baby Jaguar: (growling) Mreow! Mreow!

[Baby Jaguar is revealed to be hanging for dear life from a tree on the other side]

Baby Jaguar: HELP! HELP! AYÚDENME! (growling) Mreow! Mreow!

Diego: I'm coming, Baby Jaguar! Mreow!

[Baby Jaguar falls]

Diego: Reach out your hands to catch Baby Jaguar! Reach up! Catch him, catch him! ¡Agarrado!

Baby Jaguar: Thanks for catching me! ¡GRACIAS!

(Animals cheering)

[He swings to the science desk]

Diego: Are you okay, Baby Jaguar?

Baby Jaguar: Si, Diego. Now I am. Mreow, mreow!

(Both giggling)

Alicia: Hey, guys!

Diego: Hi, Alicia! Alicia is my sister. She's an animal rescuer, too.

Alicia: Hola!

Voice: Help! Ahrooo-ah! Ahrooo-ah!

Diego: Uh-oh, that sounds like an animal in trouble! Come on!

Alicia: We've gotta find out which animal is in trouble!

Diego: We need our special camera Click to find the animal.

Diego and Alicia: Say, "Click!"

["Say Click" plays]

Click: Say, "Click". Take a pic. Say, "Click". Take a pic. Soy Click, la camara, I can take a pic! I can can see and hear the animal in trouble! Zoom in, through the forest and out to the sea! To find the animal just call on me! Say, "Click". Take a pic.

[song ends]

Click: Hi, I'm Click the Camera. We need to find the animal in trouble. The animal in trouble sounds like this.

Voice: Ahrooo-ah!

Click: Let's zoom through the forest and listen for the animal.

(Puma growls)

Click: Does this sound like the animal in trouble? No! That's a puma.

(Macaw squawks)

Click: Does this sound like the animal in trouble? Nah! That's a macaw!

Baby Humpback Whale: Ahrooo-ah!

Click: Does this sound like the animal in trouble? Yes! That's it! What animal is it? It's a whale, right! A humpback whale! When a humpback whale dives, it bends its back in the ocean. Humpback whales make really big waves by splashing their tails And when they breathe, they spray out of their blowholes. To take a picture of the humpback whale, say "Click!" [takes the picture] Got it! Now, you tell Diego: The animal in trouble is a humpback whale.

Diego: What animal is in trouble? A humpback whale?! That's a baby humpback whale! And it's all by himself!

Alicia: Baby humpback whales live with their mommies. This baby should be with his Mommy!

Baby Humpback Whale: Mommy! Mommy! Ahrooo-ah!

Diego: We've gotta see more of the picture. We can do that if Click zooms out. Say "Zoom!"

[Zooms out]

Alicia: Look! He's stuck on a rocky island in the ocean!

Diego: We gotta save Baby Humpback Whale and bring him back to his mommy!

Baby Jaguar: Good luck rescuing the whale, Diego! Mreow, mreow!

Diego: ¡Hasta luego, Baby Jaguar!

Alicia: Diego, don't forget your Rescue Pack!

Diego: Thanks, Alicia! Come on! ¡Al rescate, amigos!

["Al rescate" plays]

Diego: Clap your hands with me. Clap, clap, clap. (4x) Great! Let's call to the baby humpback whale. Say, "Ahrooo-ah!" Ahrooo-ah!

All Animals: Go, Diego, go. Vamos, Diego, vamos. Al rescate, amigos! To the rescue, my friends! Al rescate, amigos! To the rescue, my friends! Go, Diego, go. (Go, Diego!) Vamos, Diego, vamos. (Vamos, Diego!) Go, Diego, go. (Go, Diego!) Vamos, Diego, vamos. (Vamos, Diego!) VAMOS!

Uh-oh, it's raining in the rain forest.

We need some rain gear, quick.

Look-- swinging vines.

We've got to get through the swinging vines

without getting tangled in them.

I know!

If we bend our backs, we can duck under the vines.

Hey, humpback whales bend their backs

when they dive underwater.

Can you bend your back like a humpback whale?

Bend your back, bend your back.

Great!

Now, let's go.

Yay!

Look, more vines.

And these ones have spiders on them.

We don't want to bother the spiders.

Quick, bend your back.

Bend your back.

Yay, we made it under the spider vines.

Yikes, more vines.

What's on these vines?

Snakes.

We don't want to bother the snakes.

Come on, bend your back.

Bend your back.

We made it under all the vines.

Great bending.

And look-- the rain stopped.

BABY WHALE: Help! Help!

( squeals helplessly )

Uh-oh, that's a baby humpback whale calling for help.

We've got to call to the humpback whale

to tell him we're coming.

Say "Ahoo-wah!"

Ahoo-wah!

Great, come on, let's go.

Look, there are different ways to go.

Let's think like scientists.

This path is filled with lots and lots of plants and trees.

It probably goes back to the rain forest.

And this path is sandy.

( seagulls calling )

And look-- seagulls are flying along this path.

I bet this path goes to the ocean.

And this path goes up, and it's rocky.

It probably goes up to the mountain.

Do whales live in the rain forest,

the ocean or the mountain?

The ocean, right.

Come on.

( seagulls squawking )

Diego: Look, those are sand dunes. They protect the beach. We're not allowed to walk on the sand dunes. But we've got to get over the sand dunes if we're going to get to the baby whale! I know! My Rescue Pack can transform into anything we need. To activate my rescue pack, say "actívate." Louder! ¡Actívate!

[Rescue Pack plays]

Rescue Pack: Yo, Rescue Pack! A... Rescue Pack! Coming to the rescue! (¡Al Rescate!) Rescue Pack! Coming to the rescue! I'm Rescue Pack, I got your back. I can turn into a parasail, or a kayak. a zip cord, a snowboard, whatever you need, we can do it! Nothing to it! A Rescue Pack! Coming to the rescue! (¡Al Rescate!) Rescue Pack, Coming to the rescue! A... (Yo,) Rescue Pack!

[Song ends]

Rescue Pack: YO!!! Rescue Pack here. Diego needs something that can fly him over the sand dunes. Will a raft fly him over the sand dunes? Nope! Will a bicycle fly him over the sand dunes? Nah! Will a hot air balloon fly him over the sand dunes? Yes, it will! Now, you tell tell Diego he needs a hot air balloon.

Diego: What do we need? A hot air balloon. Great idea!

(Transformation noise)

Diego: All right! Come on, amigos!

(thumping)

Diego: Whoa! My balloon won't go up.

Bobo Brothers: Bobos! Bobos! (giggling) We're Bobos!

Diego: That sounds like the Bobo Brothers! Those silly monkeys are always causing trouble! Do you see the monkeys?

Bobo Brothers: Whee! (giggling) Bobos! Bobos!

Diego: Those are the Bobos! They're bouncing on our balloon! We've got to stop the Bobos or we'll never make it to the baby humpback whale! To stop the Bobos, say "Freeze, Bobos!"

(long pause)

Bobo Brothers: Whoops! Sorry!

Diego: You stopped the Bobos! Thanks! Whee!

The baby humpback whale is on a rocky island.

But there are three rocky islands.

Diego: I know, when whales breath try spray out of their blowholes. Did you see any humpback whale spray?

There it is.

So that's the island with the baby whale. Let's go.

[He reaches the beach]

Diego: Whoa, look! Giant stinging jellyfish. The jellyfish could sting us, but we've got to get to that whale. My field journal can help us find an animal who will scare away the jellyfish.

[Shows field journal]

Diego: What animal can scare away the jellyfish? A turtle, right! A giant sea turtle! We can ride on the back of the sea turtle and she'll scare away the jellyfish.

[Cuts to a part of the beach]

Diego: Do you see a sea turtle?

(Cursor clicks her)

Diego: You found her. I know that sea turtle. Es mi amiga Tuga.

Tuga: Hola, amigo.

Diego: Hola, Tuga. ¿Tuga, nos puedes ayudar?

Tuga: Claro que sí.

Diego: Great! Tuga says she'll help us. Nademos.

Tuga: Nademos.

Diego: Nademos.

Tuga: Nademos.

Diego: Tuga speaks Spanish, so to tell Tuga we have to swim, we sing, "Nademos." Can you sing, "Nademos"? Nademos. Great! Now, I'll sing "nademos," then you sing "nademos." Ready? Nademos. Nademos. Nademos. Nademos.

(watch beeping)

Diego: That's my video watch. It's Alicia calling from the animal center.

Alicia: Diego, you're being chased! You have to swim faster!

Diego: Chased? Do you see who's chasing us? Sharks! We need to get Tuga to swim fast. Put your arms out and swim fast. Swim, swim, swim, swim, swim! Nademos. Nademos. Nademos. Nademos. Nademos. Nademos! Good swimming! Gracias, Tuga.

Tuga: Hasta luego, amigo!

Diego: We made it to the rocky island where the humpback whale is stuck. Do you see the humpback whale? Yeah! There he is.

Baby Humpback Whale: Help! Help! Ahrooo-ah!

Diego: Come on! We've got to help it.

Baby Humpback Whale: I'm stuck!

Diego: Don't worry. I'm Diego. We're animal rescuers. We'll get you back in the water.

Baby Humpback Whale: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

(splash)

Baby Humpback Whale: Whew! That feels good.

Diego: You need more water.

(splash)

Baby Humpback Whale: Diego, I moved!

Diego: The splashing water made a little wave that lifted you up. But we need a really big wave if we're going to move baby whale out into the ocean. Hey, humpback whales make really big waves by splashing their tails. We need to find more humpback whales. Help me call to the humpback whale family. Say, "Ahrooo-ah!" Louder! Ahrooo-ah! Do you see the humpback whale family?

(more humpback whales appear

Diego: We found them, we found them! And look-- there's the baby whale's mommy!

Mommy Humpback Whale: Baby whale! Baby whale!

Baby Humpback Whale: Mommy! Mommy!

Diego: Don't worry. We'll get you to your mommy. We've got to tell the humpback whale family to splash with their tails. Say, "Splash, whales!" Splash, whales!

(splashing)

Diego: We need bigger waves. We need your help to splash with the humpback whales. Put your hands out in front of you and splash the water. Splash, splash, splash, splash, splash!

(all splashing)

Diego: We need to make one more splash. Make a giant splash with us. Splash!

(one last splash)

Diego: Look! The big wave's carrying the baby whale back to his mommy! Great splashing! We saved the humpback whale!

[Animal end song plays]

Diego: We saved the humpback, (Humpback) Humpback whale! We saved the humpback, (Humpback) Humpback whale! The humpback whale's got a hump on his back. When he dives in the water, he bends it way back. Bend your back like a whale. Bend your back. Bend your back! ¡Excelente! He can splash with his tail, and look at him spray. And when we want to call him, we know what to say! Say, "Ahrooo-ah!"

All: Ahrooo-ah!

Diego: Ahrooo-ah!

All: Ahrooo-ah!

Diego: Say "Ahrooo-ah!"

All: Ahrooo-ah!

Diego: Ahrooo-ah!

All: Ahrooo-ah!

Baby Jaguar: Mreow, mreow!

Baby Humpback Whale: Gracias, Diego!

Diego: Misión cumplida! Rescue complete! You are a great animal rescuer!

All: Gracias!

(Computer beeping

Diego: What do humpback whales do?

Diego and Alicia: Let's review!

Diego: Does a humpback whale live in the desert or the ocean?

(cursor clicks the ocean)

Diego: The ocean, right!

Alicia: To dive in the water, does a humpback whale use a diving board or bend its back?

(Cursor clicks bend its back

Alicia: It bends its back, right!

Diego: A whale using a diving board? That's so silly! When a humpback whale breathes, does it spray out of its tail or its blowhole?

(cursor clicks the blowhole)

Diego: Its blowhole, yeah. We've almost finished the puzzle!

Alicia: Does a humpback whale splash with its tail or with wings?

(cursor clicks the tail)

Alicia: Its tail, right!

Diego: Look, it's a picture of a humpback whale! We can put this picture of the humpback whale in our animal science book. We found out so much about humpback whales today!

Alicia: And there's so much more for us to discover...

Diego and Alicia: Together!

Diego: Hasta luego, amigos!

Alicia: See you soon!
