Diego: Hola! I'm Diego!

Alicia: I'm Alicia!

Baby Jaguar: And I'm Baby Jaguar! (growls)

Diego: We're visiting the Serengeti in Africa, where our friend Juma lives. Juma is an animal rescuer like us.

Juma: Jambo!

Diego: He can speak Swahili and English.

Juma: In English, we say "Hi". In Swahili, we say "Jambo".

Diego: Let's all say "Jambo"!

All: Jambo!

Alicia: We're here for a very special rescue. Right, Juma?

Juma: Right! You're here to help me rescue the elephants!

Diego: The African elephants are all missing!

Juma: And we need your help to find them! Jambo from Africa!

All: Jambo from Africa!

Juma: The Serengeti is wild and free.

Alicia: Look at that!

Diego: It's really awesome, don't you agree?

Baby Jaguar: Yeah!

Alicia: Animals as far as the eye can see,

All: But where are all the elephants?

Baby Jaguar: I can see platoons of baboons.

Diego: Look, I see gazelles on the dunes.

Alicia and Juma: Who's come here to dine? It's a whole line of rhinos!'

All: But where are all the elephants?

Alicia: There are kudus,

Baby Jaguar: And warthogs,

Diego: And hippos,

Juma: And wild dogs,

Alicia: And zebras, and lions, look, a whole pride!

Juma and Baby Jaguar: But our huge long-nosed gray friends have long gone away, friends!

Diego: Just where can a great big elephant hide?

Alicia: Behind a tree?

All: I don't think so!

Juma and Baby Jaguar: And so my friends, we're counting on you.

Alicia: We're counting on you!

Juma: Cause there's a jumbo job we must do.

Alicia: Oh, yeah!

Diego and Baby Jaguar: Come on! Let's get cooking, So help us start looking.

All: Now where are all the elephants? Now where are all the elephants?

Diego: Juma, what happened to all the elephants?

Juma: I'll tell you. Once upon a time, the Serengeti in Africa had lots and lots of elephants.

(elephants trumpeting)

Juma: They were the largest and friendliest animals in all of Africa.

(baby elephant trumpeting)

Juma: All the animals loved the elephants, except for one mosquito.

(poke)

Elephant: WHOA!!

(smack)

Juma: One day, the mosquito landed on a magic wand and...

(poof)

Juma: She turned into a magician!

Magician: (gasps) A magic wand! I am a magician! (cackles)

Juma: The magician didn't like elephants, so she snuck up on the elephants and...

Magician: Zap!

[The elephants turn into rocky statues]

Juma: She turned them into giant rocks!

Magician: (cackling) Zap! Zap! (cackles) No more elephants left!

Juma: The magician flew away, and we haven't seen her since!

Baby Jaguar: Oh, no! We gotta help the elephants! How can we help them?

Juma: There might be one way that we can help them.

Baby Jaguar: Tell us, tell us!

Juma: There is an African drum that is magical.

Diego and Alicia: A magic drum?

Juma: Ndio. The magic drum is very, very powerful. It is the only thing that might be able to break the magician's spell.

Baby Jaguar: We've gotta find it! Where is it? Where is it?

Juma: The drum is hidden in a cave on top of the tallest mountain.

Diego: Which mountain is the tallest mountain?

Juma: There it is, right there!

Baby Jaguar: But how are we gonna get all the way up there?

Diego: We need something that will fly all of us to the top of the tall mountain. My Rescue Pack can transform into anything we need. To activate my Rescue Pack, say "Actívate!". Louder! Actívate!

[Rescue Pack plays]

Rescue Pack: Yo, Rescue Pack! A... Rescue Pack! Coming to the rescue! (¡Al Rescate!) Rescue Pack! Coming to the rescue! I'm Rescue Pack, I got your back. I can turn into a parasail, or a kayak. a zip cord, a snowboard, whatever you need, we can do it! Nothing to it! A Rescue Pack! Coming to the rescue! (¡Al Rescate!) Rescue Pack, Coming to the rescue! A... (Yo,) Rescue Pack!

[Song ends]

Rescue Pack: Jambo! Rescue Pack, here! Diego needs something that can fly to the top of the tall mountain so we can get the magic drum! Can a boat fly to the top of the tall mountain? Nah! Can ice skates fly to the top of the tall mountain? (laughs) Of course not! Can a hot air balloon fly to the top of the tall mountain? It sure can! Right! Now you tell Diego: He needs a hot air balloon.

Diego: What do we need? A hot air balloon!

(transforming noise)

Diego and Alicia: Al rescate, amigos!

[Al Rescate plays]

Diego: Clap your hands with us. Clap, clap, clap. (4x) Great! Let's call out to the elephants. Say "Whooooo!"

All: Whooooo!

All Animals: Go, Diego, go. (Nenda, Juma!) Vamos, Alicia, vamos. Al rescate, amigos! To the rescue, my friends! Al rescate, amigos! To the rescue, my friends! Go, Diego, go. (Go, Diego!) Nenda, Juma, nenda! (Vamos, Diego!) Go, Diego, go. (Go, Diego!) Vamos, Alicia, vamos. (Nenda, Juma!) NENDA!

(air hissing out)

Rescue Pack: Uh-oh, Diego! I'm losing air! (groans)

Alicia: If Rescue Pack can't make it up the mountain, we won't be able to find the drum!

Baby Jaguar: And then we won't be able to save the elephants!

Rescue Pack: (grunts) Help!

Diego: Amigos, we need your help! We need to blow into the balloon to fill it up again.

Rescue Pack: You'd better blow hard!

Diego: Are you ready to blow? Great! Put your hands around your mouth and... Blow! Again! Blow! Harder! Blow, blow, blow!

[They reach the top]

(All cheering)

Diego: We made it to the top of the tall mountain!

Rescue Pack: Thanks for helping! You're great blowers!

Alicia: Gracias por ayudarnos!

(de-transforming noise)

Diego: Now we need to find the magic drum.

Alicia: The magic drum is hidden in a cave. Do you see the cave?

Diego: Ahi esta! Vamos!

[They enter]

Baby Jaguar: Wow! This is a really big cave!

(rumbling)

Baby Jaguar: Hey, Diego, the ground is shaking!

Diego: Do you see what's making the ground shake?

[Reveals Erin the Elephant stomping in fear]

Diego and Alicia: An elephant!

Baby Jaguar: She looks like she's frightened.

Diego: We need to let her know we're her friends. Wave hello and say "Jambo!" Louder! Jambo!

[Erin stops]

Diego: She heard you! She knows we're her friends!

Baby Jaguar: Wow! She's big!

Erin: I'm really, really big! And I'm really, really nice! (puts him on her head)

Baby Jaguar: Whoa! (giggles) That was a fun ride!

(Diego and Alicia giggling)

Diego: What's your name?

Erin: My name is Erin.

Alicia: And what are you doing here?

Erin: I came into this cave to hide from the magician! And protect the magic drum.

Diego: My sister Alicia and I are here to help Juma find the magic drum.

Alicia: So we can use it to try to rescue all your elephant friends.

Erin: Oh, oh! That makes me so happy! (trumpets) I hid the drum really, really well in a hole underground.

Diego: Great! Where's the hole?

Erin: Uh...um...um...I forgot.

Diego: It's okay. We'll help you find it. Amigos, you need to help us find the magic drum. Do you see the magic drum? Right there?

Erin: Hey, I can get the drum out of the hole, 'cause I'm a great digger!

Alicia: Right! Elephants use their tusks to dig.

(digging)

Diego: The magic drum is hidden really, really deep. So let's all help Erin the Elephant dig for the magic drum. Put your arms out in front of you and say "Dig, dig, dig!" I'm starting to see it! Again! Dig, dig, dig! One last time! Dig, dig, dig! Look! There's the magic drum! But it's so dusty!

(Erin inhales, blowing)

Baby Jaguar: Ah-choo! Whoa! Erin the Elephant used her trunk to blow off all the dust! Mreow, mreow!

All: Wow!

Erin: This magic drum is the only hope for my elephant friends.

Diego: We need to bring this drum to the elephants that were turned into rocks.

Baby Jaguar: And use it to break the spell!

Erin: Awesome! (trumpets)

Baby Jaguar: But where are the elephant rocks? Where, where?!

Alicia: Let's find out.

Diego: Our special camera Click can help us find the elephants. Say, "Click!"

["Say Click" plays]

Click: Say, "Click". Take a pic. Say, "Click". Take a pic. Soy Click, la camara, I can take a pic! I can can see and hear the animal in trouble! Zoom in, through the forest and out to the sea! To find the animal just call on me! Say, "Click". Take a pic.

[song ends]

Click: Jambo! Hi, I'm Click the Camera. We need to find the elephants under the magic spell. They look like giant rocks. Let's zoom through the Serengeti and look for the elephants under the magic spell. Do these look like giant rocks? No. Those are grassy hills. Do these look like giant rocks? No. Those are flower bushes. Do these look like giant rocks? Yes they do! To take a picture of the giant rocks, say "Click!" (takes the picture) Got it! Now, you tell Diego: You found the giant rocks.

Diego: What did you find? The giant rocks?

Juma: Wow! Those are the elephants under the magic spell!

Baby Jaguar: We've gotta get to the elephants!

Diego: To find out how to get to the elephants, we've got to see even more of the picture. We can do that if Click super zooms out. Say, "Super zoom!"

[Zooms out to reveal the route to take]

Diego: We're on the tallest mountain. And there are the giant rocks. We'll have to go through the dry forest and across the lake to get to the giant rocks, so we can break the spell and save the elephants!

Erin: Oh, we're gonna save my friends! We're gonna save my friends! (trumpeting)

(stomping loudly, rumbling)

All: Uh-oh!

(rocks falling)

Erin: Oops!

Alicia: The cave is blocked!

Diego: Ugh!! How are we gonna get out?!

Juma: This drum has powerful magic.

Diego: Maybe it can unblock the cave! We need your help to play the drum. Can you drum on your legs? Drum on your legs!

Juma: Drum with us!

(drumming)

Diego, Alicia, and Juma: Drum! Drum! Drum, drum, drum! Drum! Drum! Drum, drum, drum!

(Erin trumpeting)

Diego: Thanks for drumming with us.

Juma: This drum has very powerful magic.

Diego: Let's hope it's powerful enough to break the spell!

Baby Jaguar: And save all the elephants!

Erin: Come on!

[They exit and Erin lifts them on her back]

All: Whee!

Erin: All aboard?

Diego, Alicia, Baby Jaguar and Juma: All aboard!

Diego: These dry trees are blocking our way!

Baby Jaguar: I can make it over! (tries to climb but fails) Huh, maybe not.

Diego: We need to get past these trees to try to save the elephants.

Juma: Hey, Erin the Elephant is using her trunk to pull the trees out of the way.

Baby Jaguar: But there are so many trees!

Juma: We need your help.

Diego: Will you help Erin the Elephant pull the trees out of the way? Great!

Alicia: We've got to act like elephants.

Diego: Don't worry, Erin, we won't let that happen.

Juma: We've got to hide!

Alicia: Come on, amigos! There! Let's go!

[Erin hides under a rock parchment]

Magician: I thought I saw an elephant! (gasps) Giraffes! Oh... I don't like giraffes almost as much as I don't like elephants! I will zap them!

Diego: Don't worry, I've got an idea. First, we've got to find the lions.

Erin: Before they find us!

Diego: Right!

Juma: We need to get higher to see over those trees.

Baby Jaguar: Look, Juma! Sleeping animals! Let's see!

[Erin lets them off]

Juma: Those are black rhinos, Baby Jaguar.

Mommy Rhino: Shh! Please don't wake up my babies!

Diego: Don't worry, Mommy Rhino. We won't wake them up. (whispers) Even though elephants are big, they can be very, very quiet when they walk. Will you tiptoe to be really, really quiet like an elephant? Great!

Juma: You have to stand up to tiptoe. Stand up, please! Stand up! And get ready to tiptoe!

Diego: Now... Tiptoe, tiptoe, tiptoe past the rhinos. Tiptoe, tiptoe, tiptoe past the rhinos.

(Baby rhinos yawning)

Diego, Alicia, and Juma: Tiptoe, tiptoe, tiptoe past the rhinos.

Mommy Rhino: Thanks for not waking up my babies.

Juma: You're welcome. See you later, Mommy Rhino.

[Erin lifts them back on; they reach the lake]

Juma: (back in normal volume) Look! The elephant rocks are on the other side of this lake!

Diego: So we've gotta cross this lake to find the elephants.

Baby Jaguar: But how are we gonna get across? This lake is too big!

Erin: Diego, elephants love to swim! I can get all of us across!

[Erin swims; later...]

All: The magician!!!

Magician: I think I see an elephant!

Diego: Uh-oh! Here comes the magician! Tell Erin to hide! Say, "Hide, elephant!" Louder!

Diego, Alicia, Baby Jaguar, and Juma: Hide, elephant!

[Erin sinks]

Magician: I really thought I saw an elephant, but all I see are those children. Ooh, hippos! I don't like hippos, almost as much as I don't like elephants, giraffes, and zebras! (cackles)

Erin: Is she gone?

Diego: Yes, but she's headed to the hippos!

Juma: We've got to get across this lake quick!

Baby Jaguar: Really quick!

Diego: Wow!

Juma: These animals look like hippos.

Hippo 1: We are hippos!

Juma: Really? There's something wrong with these hippos.

Alicia: (shows book) This is what hippos are supposed to look like. Are hippos supposed to be big or small? Big, right! What's wrong with these hippos? Correcto! They're too small!

Hippo 2: The magician made us really, really small!

Hippos: Go, animal rescuers! Go!

[Erin helps them back on]

Diego: Hey, we're almost there!

Erin: Yippee! (trumpets)

[Erin runs; suddenly, the drum flies out of Juma's grasp and rolls toward a cliff]

Juma: Oh, no! The magic drum! The magic drum!

Alicia: Without the magic drum, we won't be able to break the magician's spell!

(Magician cackling)

Juma: It's the magician!!!

Magician: I KNEW I saw an elephant!

Diego, Alicia, Baby Jaguar, and Juma: NO!

[Erin turns into a rock]

Magician: Now, all the elephants are rocks! (cackles)

Diego: We've got to get the drum! It's the elephants' only hope!

[Diego hurries after the drum]

Baby Jaguar: Oh, no! The drum is headed for that cliff!

Juma: Diego's got to get it!

Alicia: The magician is trying to get the drum!

Magician: Whoa!

Alicia: Help Diego catch it! Yell, "Catch it, Diego!"

[Diego jumps and catches the drum in time]

Magician: AUGH!!

Baby Jaguar: He's got it!

Juma: Whoo-hoo!

Alicia: You did it! All right, Diego!

Baby Jaguar: Yay, Diego!

Magician: Ah, very good. You got the magic drum. But that drum is no match for my wand!

Diego: Yes it is!

Magician: I'm going to make sure the spell is NEVER broken!

(More trumpeting)

Baby Jaguar: The elephants are back!

All: Yay!

(Baby elephant trumpeting)

[Erin unfreezes]

Juma: Erin!

Erin: What happened?

Diego: The magician turned you into a rock. Are you okay?

Erin: I think so. And the rest of the elephants?

(elephants trumpeting)

Erin: They're back, they're back!

Baby Jaguar: But where's the magician?

Diego: I don't see her. Do you see the magician?

All: There she is!

(Magician cackling)

Alicia: And she's still got her wand!

Juma: And it is still very powerful.

Diego: We've got to take away her magic wand!

Alicia: Diego, my Rescue Rope can lasso her magic wand!

Diego: Go for it!

Alicia: To use my Rescue Rope, say, "Lasso!" Lasso!

Rescue Rope: Lasso!

[The rope latches onto the wand; Alicia pulls it out of the magician's grasp and it suddenly disappears]

Diego: The magic wand disappeared!

Magician: Uh-oh.

[The magician reverts to her original form as a mosquito]

Juma: And the magician turned back into a mosquito!

Mosquito: I'm a mosquito! I'm a mosquito!

(Mosquito buzzing)

Mosquito: Hey, I missed being a mosquito!

(buzzing; slap)

Mosquito: WHOAAAAAA!!!

[The mosquito flies far away]

Juma: The magician is gone for good!

(elephants trumpeting)

Baby Jaguar: Whoa! (giggles; growls)

(hawks squawking)

(baboons chattering)

Alicia: Look at all the African safari animals!

Diego: Yeah, they're so cool! All the animals are so excited that the elephants will be part of the African safari again!

Juma: I'm so glad all the elephants are back!

Erin: Me too! (trumpets)

Baby Elephant: Erin, I missed you so much!

Erin: I missed you, too!

Diego: Let's take a picture with all the animals for our African safari book!

Diego: What do elephants do?

Diego, Alicia, and Baby Jaguar: Let's review!

Diego: To get across a lake, does an elephant fly or swim?

(cursor clicks swimming)

Diego: Swim, correcto!

Alicia: To cool off, does an elephant use its big ears or a fan?

(cursor clicks the big ears)

Alicia: Its big ears, right! An elephant's big ears are like giant fans!

Diego: To blow off dust, does an elephant use a broom or its trunk?

(cursor clicks the trunk)

Diego: Its trunk, right!

Alicia: Hey, we've almost finished the puzzle!

Diego: To scare away a lion, does an elephant stomp or play guitar?

(cursor clicks stomping)

Diego: Stomp, right! We solved the puzzle! That's an elephant!

(printing)

Alicia: Let's put this picture of the elephant in our African safari book with all the other African safari animals.

Diego: We found out so much about elephants today!

Alicia: And there's so much more for us to discover...

Diego, Alicia, and Baby Jaguar: Together!
