Trivia[]

  • The VHS and DVD were released on June 3, 2003 by Paramount Home Entertainment and Nickelodeon.
  • This was the first video with Paramount DVD (2003) (With Menu).
  • This is also the first Dora the Explorer DVD to contain previews as well.
  • The Face Makes His Mouth Really Big segment was previously seen on the 2001 VHS of Little Bear: "Little Sherlock Bear".
  • The Face Makes Many Different Faces segment was previously seen on the 1996 VHS of Gullah Gullah Island: "Play Along With Binyah and Friends", 1997 VHS of Little Bear: "Family Tales", the 1997 VHS of Little Bear: "Winter Tales", the 1998 VHS of Gullah Gullah Island: "Feelings", the 1996 VHS of Allegra's Window: "Allegra's Christmas", the 1999 VHS of Blue's Clues: "Blue's Big Treasure Hunt", the 1999 VHS of Blue's Clues: "Blue's Discoveries", the 2001 VHS of Little Bear: "Little Sherlock Bear" and the 2001 VHS of Little Bill: "Big Little Bill".
  • The episode "The Lost City" uses the classic opening of Seasons 1 and 2 instead of the new opening of Seasons 3 and 4; even though it's the first episode of Season 3 that has Explorer Stars. Its classic opening will be used again in Dora's Slumber Party.
  • On the DVD, some early copies say "96 minutes" on the disc like with the case rather than "100 minutes" which is seen on most copies. This shows that this DVD was originally not gonna have any previews, but were added in the official release.
  • Coincidentally, the first two episodes on this video are the first aired ones from Seasons 3 and 2, respectively.

Goofs/Errors[]

  • On the back cover of the DVD, the bonus episodes are shown in reverse order (Berry Hunt and Sticky Tape), although Sticky Tape is the third episode on the DVD and the fourth is Berry Hunt.
