Dora explains what they are doing. Today is a very important day.

"It's Junk Day," she says.

"And we're

putting out this

old broken stuff

for the

junk truck

to pick up!"
(Do you see something up ahead?)

Is that the junk truck?

Yes, it is!

Boots can see it! "There's the junk truck NOW!"

There's a box of trash right there.

The junk truck drives to it,

and it uses its crane

to put

the junk

away.

Look who's coming!

"And there’s Benny

the Bull!"

He pulls out a tennis racket.

"He has

a wagon

FULL of junk!" Boots noticed.

Here he comes.

"Boots," said Benny.

"This stuff isn't 'junk'!" (Then, WHAT is it?)

"It's

TREASURE!" So it looks like he wants it to be treasure and not "junk".

"You can do all sorts of things

with stuff

people throw

away." (Well, THIS should be interesting!)

"Like this

Suddenly, they hear some cries for help.

"DORA!!!

¡¡¡AYÚDAME!!!" called Backpack.

"HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!" cried Map.

Uh-oh! That must be a sign of an EMERGENCY! (Hopefully, they're okay!)

Dora, Boots, and Benny stop what they are doing and transform back.

And Dora changes back from her dress.

"That sounds like Backpack

and Map!" said Boots. (It does!)

"It sounds like they're in trouble!" Benny adds. (Yes, it does!)

"We have to find them!"

"Do YOU see Backpack and Map?" (Let's see what happened to them!)

Oh no! The pick-up truck got Map and Backpack! (Yikes! Not Map and Backpack again! First the Big Silly Bird for Map and Swiper for Backpack (but at least for Backpack's previous incident, she was found just minutes later), now the Junk Truck?!)

The Dump Truck's taking them by mistake!

"Don't worry,

we're okay!"

"But you HAVE to rescue us!"

"PLEEEEEEEEEEEEE

AAAAASE???!!!!!"

This is REALLY BAD news!

"We GOTTA go

get Map and Backpack!"

"But we don't know

where they're going!"
(Boots, would you please ask us to tell Mochila so she can ask us to say "Map"?!)

How will we find them?

"WHO do we ask for help,

when we don't know

which way to go?" asked Boots.

"BOOTS?!" asked Dora interruptingly.

"The Map,

right!"

"BOOTS!" Dora interrupts, because there's life at stake.

"YEAH, Dora?!"

NORMALLY we would ask the Map, but this time… "Map's not here! Remember?!" Dora explains.

"We gotta rescue

HIM

and Backpack!"

"OH, RIGHT!" he said.

"Don't worry, Boots," she said.

"We'll find a way!" (And MAYBE Dora will get another chance to TALK like Map and make up her own segment like before of the last 3 seasons.)

"We need something

that can help us

see really, REALLY far!"

(Instead of making their own map, they can use something in Benny's wagon.)

An idea flew into Benny's head: "We can use this paper towel tube!"

Benny thinks that… "It makes an

AWESOME

spotting

scope!"

Boots likes the idea. "COOL!" he said.

"Good thinking, Benny!" Even Dora agrees. (Let's see what places they have to go to!)

[Our Map segment starts NOW!] "Do YOU see Backpack and Map?" Dora asks.

Where are they?

(HERE!)

"THERE they are! In the Junky Junk Yard!"

"But, Dora," said Benny.

"HOW are we going to GET there?"

[Well be ready guys, because what you're about to hear is Dora will talk the way Map does, i.e. explaining the places the way he does, and "So remember: [Location], [Location], (and something like) Backpack and Map!"

So, listen very, but VERY carefully…]

"First, we have to go

over the Troll Bridge."

"Then, across Swan Lake!" (named after Tchaikovsky's Ballet Performance)

"And THAT'S how we'll get to Backpack and Map at the Junky Junk Yard!"

Time for some memorization! "So remember:

"Say it with us!" (Listen to this, Boots and Benny will join in!)

to the Troll Bridge!"

"Come on!" said Dora.

(Boots says the line this time.) "¡VÁMONOS!"

They're walking on the moon.

(Well, NOT ANYMORE!)

Back on Earth!

Hey, look! Is that a trash can?

"Look, it's a trash can!" said Boots.

(It may look like a trash can, but… look who's inside!)

(A trash can with fox legs and tail?! THAT'S weird!)

(And it walks. Something doesn't sound right!)

Dora, Boots, and Benny continue running

while the "walking trash can" follows them.

Now it stopped and went back to (what would be) a normal trash can.

Boots thinks something strange is going on. "Hey, guys! Didn't we just PASS this trash can?!" he asked.

"I don't think so, Boots." Benny replied.

"Come on, Boots!" said Dora.

Let's just move on!

(There he is again!)
("trash can" snickering)

(Fox face, legs, a tail on a trash can? Looks like we already know who it is!)

Boots FINALLY knew something suspicious.

"Dora,

I REALLY think that trash can is following us!"

(HOOP!)
"Hmmm…" said Dora. She's starting to agree. "I don't think

that's just

a trash can, Boots!"

"YES, I am!" said the fox-tailed "walking trash can".

"I'm just a trash can!"

Dora asks,

"Can trash cans TALK?"

(ABSOLUTELY NOT! (Especially in real life))

"NO!!!" they all said.

"WHO'S inside that trash can?!"

YOU know who!

(Could it be that sneaky fox?)

Of course…
"SWIPER!!!" they all shouted.

WHOA!

Here he comes!

"That sneaky fox is gonna try and swipe my wagon!"
(WHAT?! First, Dora's Backpack and now, Benny's wagon?! NOT in OUR watch!)

"We've gotta stop him!"

"Say it with us!"

(snaps fingers)

MY bridge!

NO ONE!)" Mr. Troll shouted.

"Unless,

you can match the sounds

that I make

EXACTLY!"

Dora explains more about what he just said.

"We need to match the sounds that the Troll makes

to get across his bridge."

"WE can do it!" said Benny with confidence.

"I bet there'll be something in

my wagon

that can help us!"

"We're REALLY GOOD at

matching sounds!" said Boots.

Get ready! Here's the first one.

First, the Grumpy Old Troll has a bell.
(bell rings)

(shaking)

(dinging)
(CLOSE, but not quite!)

(alarm clock rings)
(That must be it!)

Yeah, that alarm clock sounds JUST like the Troll's bell!

Sound #2: A horn!

(horn toots)

(Car horn toots)
(That could be it!)

(horn blowing)
(Not quite.)

(Rubber duck squeaking)

Mr. Troll double-checks.

He finds out they do sound the same.

"WOW!" said the Troll.

"You guys are GOOD!"

"Here's a TRICKY one, so listen closely…"

(Strums)

(Strumming like sound)
(Probably…)

(Comb rattles)
(Nope.)

Right! The bunny's ear

sounds just like the Troll's ukulele!

Good listening!

"YOU DID IT!!!"

"You matched ALL my sounds!"

"Now, I'll let you

across my bridge!"

"THANKS, Mr. Troll!" said Dora.

"Yeah," adds Boots. "Thanks a lot!"

Mr. Troll is surprised.

"WHO would've THOUGHT

that THIS little bunny

could make SUCH a funny sound?!" he asked.

(Flicks ear, strumming sound)

(laughs)

"You can HAVE him,

Mr. Troll!" said Benny.

"REALLY?!" asked Mr. Troll.

(laughs)

"NO ONE has EVER given me a

one-eared bunny before!" (Sounds like a neat gift.)

"THANKS!" said Mr. Troll.

"YOU'RE welcome!" Benny replied.

"YAY!"

"We made it

across the Troll Bridge!"

(HEY! HOW did the Fiesta Trio get in Benny's wagon?!)

"Where do we go next, Dora?" asked Benny.
Let's find out!

We made it over the Troll Bridge,

check! So where do we go next?

(But we better watch out for the crocodiles and the snakes! They've got THEIR lakes, too!)

Here's the lake!

They made it to…

"Swan Lake!" said Boots.

"But, Dora,

the lake is so

BIG!" said Benny.

"How are we supposed

to get across it?"

"Look," said Dora. (Who's that?)

"Our friend, Yuki!"

"Maybe she can help!"

"YUKI!

YUKI!!!"

"Dora-chan, konnichiwa!

(ドーラちゃん、こんにちは！)"

"Hi,

Boots!"

"Hi, Benny!"

"Hello, Yuki!" they both said.

"What are you doing?"

Yuki explains that she's making origami swans.

"Origami?" Benny said. He doesn't know what that is. So he asks,

"What's THAT?!"

Yuki tells them. Here's what an origami is…

"It's making shapes

while folding paper," Yuki explains.

Yuki also explains that her grandmother taught her

how to

make these swans

back in Japan.

She tests her swan.

Look at THIS!

"WHOA, COOL!" Dora said.

HOWEVER…

"Too bad it's

not big enough

to ride us

across the lake!"

"Benny,

I bet you have some paper

in your wagon

that's big enough to make a

GIANT swan!"

"Yeah," said Benny.

"I have all SORTS of paper!"

Let's hope it's big enough!

to make a giant swan?

"NO!"

"Is this

napkin big enough to make a giant swan?"

(Also too small!)

"No, I guess not!"

"It's the PERFECT size!"

"But, I'll need help folding it!"

"WE'LL help!" they all said.

"GREAT!"

Yuki says the first thing they need to do is

flatten out the poster.

"Now, fold!" she says.

"Great!"

"Now, fold again towards the center."

"Fantastic!"

Now all she has to do is

make a few more folds.

And…

…it's a giant swan!

"That will take you across the lake!"

YAAAAAY!!!

"Thanks, Yuki!"

Benny has a present for Yuki and her swan.

"It's a rubber ducky!" Benny explains.

"WOW! Thanks!"

"Now my little swan has a new friend!"

"Uh, Yuki?"

"Benny's wagon is too heavy!"

"I don't think

the swan

is going to float."

"Don't worry, Boots," Yuki says.

"You can FLY across the lake!"

"It can FLY??!" asked Boots and Benny.

"Sure!" she replied.

"Just flap the wings!"

"We need YOUR help

to flap the swan's

wings."

Here's what you do: "Put your arms

like wings."

"Put your arms out!" said Benny. "PUT them OUT!"

"Now, flap them like a swan!"

Flap, flap, flap!

(It lifts)

"It's working!" Benny said.

"Keep flapping!" adds Dora.

FLAP, FLAP, FLAP!

WHEEEEEEEEE!!!

"Yuki-chan, sayonara!

(ユキちゃん、さよなら！)"

Look! Real swans!

They made it!

"We made it across Swan Lake!"

"WHOO-HOO!" cheered Boots.

Here come the Fiesta Trio, each with their own origami swans!

"Where do we go next, Dora?"

Help her out!

We went over the Troll Bridge, check! Over Swan Lake, check! Where do we go next?

(click, beep)

The Junky Junk Yard, right! That’s where Backpack and Map are!

(We BETTER HURRY to save them!)

…a face appears! "You can pull and PULL with ALL your might! But to open the gate…

"WE can do it!" said Dora with confidence.

"YEAH!!" Boots and Benny agree.

"One's not much, that is true! But add one to one,

and you'll have…?"

Two, right! One plus one is two!

(If you look closely of an error, Dora has her backpack on; even though she didn't save her yet.)

"Now add two and add TWO more,

and you will have the number…?"
What is it?

Four, ¡correcto! Two plus two is four!

We need one more number! Listen for, and complete, the next rhyme.

"You need one last number to open the gate! Add four to four,

and you get…?"

Come on! Say it!

Eight! Yeah, four plus four is eight!

So the code is "2-4-8". "Two, four, eight!" said the Lock,

"You unlocked the gate!"

TAH-DAH!!!

"WHOA!"

"Look at ALL that STUFF!" said Boots.

"It's like

a mountain of

treasure!" said Benny.

"DORA!" two voices went. (That must be THEM!)

"That's Backpack and Map!" said Dora.

If you see Backpack, say, "Backpack!"

Right HERE!

"You found me!" said Backpack.

She's in that chest.

"NOW find Map!" she says.

If you see Map, say, "Map!"

He's over here!

"HERE I am!" Map said.

"He's in that coffee cup," said Benny.

"But, Dora,

HOW are we going to get

Backpack and Map

down from there?"

"¿Mas arriba?"

"¿Mas abajo?"

"BACKPACK!

MAP!"

"DORA!!!"

"We missed you!" said Backpack.

"So, SO much!" adds Map.

"THANKS FOR RESCUING US!"

Backpack told Benny she found this old treasure chest for all his stuff to go in.

[Back at Dora's House…] Time to discuss our favorite parts! Let's do it, shall we?
