[The episode starts with Dora and Boots playing baseball in the forest.]
Great catch! Now let's tell them hello!
She explains that today they’re going to play in the
Dora has a question for the viewer. "Do you like baseball?" Go ahead, tell her your thoughts!
"I LOVE baseball!" she replied.
You get to catch the ball, too!
"I'm GREAT at catching, too!"
And, you get to HIT the ball!
Is he good at hitting? Give it your best shot, Boots!
Will he hit it the third time?
"I'm not so good at hitting.”
"But today is the day I'm going to hit the ball
I'm really good at throwing,
I played in LOTS of baseball games,
But when I hit the baseball,
I know EVERYONE will CHEER!
Hooray for Boots the Monkey, he's the player of the
hit the baseball really far,
STAR!!! (Great confidence, Boots!)
He REALLY wants to HIT IT! (Yes, indeed!)
I KNOW that you can hit it.
HIT THE BAAAAALL!!! (song ends)
After the song, he, for real, hopes that he can hit the ball. "I REALLY want to hit the ball!"
Will you help him get to the baseball game so he can get his first hit EVER?
That's nice! (Suddenly, they hear crowd cheering from afar AND a commentator.) "The baseball game is about to begin!" said the commentator.
We have to get to that baseball game
Boots starts to leave, until... (Wait Boots, you don't know WHERE the baseball game is!)
"What's the FASTEST way to the baseball game?"
Who do we ask for help when we don't know which way to go?
Will you check the Map and find out how to get to the baseball game?
Great! There he is (with a baseball cap)! And he flies out! SPRIIIIING! What does he have to say? Only one way to find out!
Here's Map! Dora and Boots have to get to the baseball game, so Boots kick and hit the baseball for the first time ever!
Luckily, Map knows how to get there! Listen carefully…
First we have to go over the Troll Bridge.
Then we go across Pitcher's Pond.
And that's how we'll get to the baseball game!
Oh, and try to catch stars along the way!
So remember: Bridge, Pond, Baseball Game!
Bridge, Pond, Baseball Game! Where do we go first? Bridge, right. The Troll Bridge.
So first we need to find the bridge.
¿Donde esta? (Wait a sec! The kite is blocking the way!)
Do you see the bridge? (The kite is gone! NOW can you see it?)
Let's all go to the baseball game!
And…off they go! (Da-da-da-da-da-DAAAAA…
(rustling in distance) That sounds like Swiper!
"That sneaky fox will try to swipe my bat,
then I won't be able to hit the ball in the baseball game!"
"Hot dog! Hot dog! I'm a hot dog!" said Swiper disguised as a hot dog.
That’s an awful big hot dog!"
"I'm a hot dog! I'm a really big hot dog!"
Dora knew something was fishy. "I don't think that's just a hot dog, Boots!"
Dora asks: "Do YOU think that's just a hot dog?"
Well, did this hot dog say "just"?
Absolutely not! "NOOO! " they said together.
"Yes, I AM! I'm a hot dog!"
But the BIG question is...
WHO'S inside that hot dog suit?!!
Here he comes! (YOU know the drill!)
We have to say, "Swiper, no swiping!".
Thanks for helping us stop Swiper!
Let's put our baseball stuff in the Backpack for safekeeping. (Good idea! Just in case if Swiper tries to swipe their baseball stuff again!)
There's the bridge, but…where's the Troll?
"I don't see that Grumpy Old Troll…"
Do you see the Grumpy Old Troll?
I'm the Grumpy Old Troll, who lives under the briiiiidge!
I'm the Grumpy Old Troll,
who lives under the briiiiidge!
All ya have to do is thiiiiis…
("Solve my riddle!" was skipped. Will there be a riddle or something else? Only one way to find out!) "Excuse me, Mr. Troll?"
"But can we go over your bridge?"
"No one goes over my bridge!" said Mr. Troll.
"No one, no one, NO ONE!"
"But we HAVE to go over the bridge!"
Boots explains more. "Yeah, we have to go the baseball game, so I can get my
Mr. Troll is serious. He doesn't really care. "NO ONE goes over my bridge!"
"You can catch all the baseballs that I hit!" (No riddle!)
Yes! He's changing it up because of their baseball game.
and a bucket with gloves, bat, and balls.
Here are Mr. Troll's instructions. "I LOVE to hit baseballs!
But to get over the bridge,
you have to catch eight!"
We need to catch eight baseballs!
"I can do it!" Boots volunteered. Because…
"I'm a REALLY good catcher!"
We need to help Boots catch all eight balls. Ocho pelotas.
If you see a ball, say, "¡PELOTA!".
The viewer gets an opportunity to catch it!
"Put your hands in the air and catch the pelota !"
You caught it! Good catching!
(Time to double-check!) Let's count and see if we caught all eight pelotas. Count with Dora in Spanish.
ocho! Great! We caught ocho pelotas! Eight balls!
Mr. Troll is impressed. "You are REALLY good at catching!"
"You can go over my bridge!"
"I'm the Grumpy Old Troll!
Yes, indeed, that's my name!
at your baseball game!" said Mr. Troll.
Boots gives Mr. Troll a high-five.
The Fiesta Trio! Instead of a fanfare…
(organ plays) Da-da-da-da-da-DAAAAA…
"The game is about to start!" said the commentator! We have to hurry!
We went over the Troll Bridge, Where do we go next? Pond, right! Pitcher's Pond.
We need to find Pitcher's Pond.
Donde esta? Where is Pitcher's Pond? (Wait a minute!)
(That's better! NOW do you see the pond?)
Let's all go to the baseball game!
"So I can hit the ball for the first time ever!"
He's really looking forward to it!
Hey! What are those in the bushes?
"Try and catch us, try and catch us!"
Whoa, what star is THAT?!
"It's Baseball, the Explorer Star!"
Boots wants to catch him. "I'm gonna catch the baseball star!"
We need to catch all the stars!
Reach up to catch the stars! Reach up!
Catch 'em, catch 'em, CATCH 'EM!!!
We caught them! (Wait! Where's Baseball Star?)
the Baseball one! (Oh, Boots has it!)
Let's put them in the star pocket.
They got to the pond in no time. It's shaped like a giant baseball mitt.
"We need to get across Pitcher's Pond."
"We need a boat!" Boots said. But, where is it anyway?
"And it looks like a big baseball! COOL!"
One more thing: Where are the lifejackets?
Uh-oh! What's that blocking their way?
"How are we going to get through that gate?" Boots wondered.
Look, there's a turtle! Maybe HE knows how to get through the gate!
But make sure that you pitch it
Boots notices they have a problem: NO BASEBALL! Boots begins to freak out. "Dora,
"I know! Let's call for the baseball star!" Great idea! Maybe they can use HIM as a baseball.
We have to help Baseball Star find the red square.
And sure enough, it opens!
Let's see what the friendly turtle has to say…
"You opened the first gate!
find the square that is blue!" ("Star ball"? He noticed Baseball Star!)
Let's do it again! Let’s find the blue square!
"¡EXCELENTE!" added Dora.
What will the friendly turtle say this time?
"To open THIS gate, find the green square!
But you better look fast...
because HERE COMES A BEAR!!"
Dora and Boots are SHOCKED! "A
(Grr, grr, grr) The turtle was NOT joking!
QUICK! Where's the green square?!
Uh-oh, but the bear won't stop chasing them!
We have to close the gate!
To tell the gate to close, we say, "Cierra!"
The bear's getting closer! Come on! Say it!
The gate quickly slams shut.
The gate heard you and it closed!
"BASEBALL!" said the star.
"¡De nada!" replied the star.
They made it across the pond safely!
Once again, the Fiesta Trio (riding on a baseball hot-air balloon) is not playing their fanfare, but instead they'll shout…
We went over the Troll Bridge, across Pitcher's Pond, where do we go next? Baseball game, right!
We need to find the baseball game!
¿Donde esta? Where is the baseball game? (Wait! The Fiesta Trio's hot air balloon, seen earlier, is blocking it!)
(That's much better! NOW do you see the stadium?)
"HURRY UP! The baseball game is ABOUT to start!!!" shouted the commentator.
"Hey, wait a minute! We need our baseball stuff!"
"Right, we need our ball, our bat, and my baseball mitts."
Will you check Backpack for all the baseball stuff?
You have to say, "Backpack!"
Say, "Backpack!" Say, "Backpack!"
"Hola, baseball fans!" said Backpack. We need to find all of Dora's and Boots' baseball stuff!
Do they need guante to play baseball?
Right! They need mitts for baseball.
Do they need una pelota to play baseball?
¡Sí! They DEFINITELY need una pelota for baseball!
Do they need un osito to play baseball?
No! That's Dora's teddy bear (Osito)! You don't need a teddy bear for baseball!
Right the bat! Boots' bat!
Smart looking! Good luck in the baseball game!
Now we're ready to play baseball!
"¡Bienvenidos!" said Tico.
Everyone says hello. "Good thing you got here!" said Benny.
"We were worried that you wouldn't make it!" (Take a note that Diego is now voiced by Gabriel Alvarez; even though he sounds kind of similar to brothers Andres and Felipe Dieppa.)
Even Papi is glad they made it there. (Papi is the coach)
Dora explains to (Coach) Papi that Boots is going to get a hit today.
"Right, Boots?" she asked.
"Our best catcher and thrower is going to get a hit too?"
I've been practicing really hard!" he explains.
Papi is impressed. "All right!"
"It's Boots the Monkey's turn to try and hit the ball!" said the commentator from the speaker.
"Okay, Boots! It's your turn to hit!"
Everyone including Baby Blue Bird,
and Isa are cheering for him.
"Mreow Mreow-mreow mreow!"
"The Dinosaur Team is changing pitchers!"
"Uh-oh! That's Big Mike!"
"He throws the ball REALLY fast!"
"¡Muy rápido!" added Tico.
"Mreow-MREOW!" (saying "I can't look!")
"Now remember Boots," said Papi,
(Boots and Dora do a secret baseball handshake. They both fist pound.)
(And they both slap a high-five) Boots and Dora: Yeah!
"Now batting: Number 2, Boots the Monkey."
when I throw the ball!" said Big Mike. But Boots is going to try to prove him wrong.
Boots takes a deep breath. Good luck, Boots!
"You have two more tries!"
"Remember to look at the ball!"
No! He missed again! Strike two!
"This monkey can't hit the ball!" He must have seen hitter monkeys before!
"Don't listen to him, Boots!"
"I have one more try to hit the ball." That's right! If he doesn't get it this time, it'll be "Strike three, you're OUT!" for him!
Will you help Boots hit the ball?
Great! When you see the ball, yell, "¡PELOTA!".
Let's see what's going to happen…!
(Drops his bat all happy)
(And the crowd goes WILD!)
Coach Papi and Baby Jaguar hug.
"I KNEW you could do it, Boots!"
(all cheering) "Wow, Boots! A HOME RUN!"
when the Troll hit eight!
We crossed Pitcher's Pond
and yelled, "cierra" to close the gate!
with the dinosaurs today,
MEOW-MEOW!!! (for "HOORAY!!! )
We had so much fun playing baseball today!
What was YOUR favorite part?
Dora liked that, too (of course)!
Dora liked when she watched Boots hit the ball.
"That was MY favorite part, too!"
Let's see how many stars we caught!
To call the stars, say "estrellas".
Count with me in Spanish!
And we caught Baseball Star!
We couldn’t have done it without you!
Thanks for helping! ¡Gracias!
