Trivia[]

  • This is the second time Boots' "Ooh-ooh-Aah-aah!" is recorded by Regan Mizrahi after his first shot in the episode, Dora's Jack-in-the-Box.
  • Boots' sisters (from Dora's Pirate Adventure), the Bobo Brothers, and their sisters (from Go, Diego, Go!) do not appear in this episode despite the theme being twins.
  • It is revealed that not only Swiper has a puppy of his own, but also that his puppy happens to be Perrito's Twin. It's possible that Swiper entered a pet store to adopt a new puppy for the Twins Day Party.
  • Similar to "Dora's Got a Puppy", Swiper has a chance to swipe an item but does not, then he admits that he would never swipe anything from a puppy because he likes puppies. He is also seen on his good side too.
  • It is unknown how Swiper and the Fiesta Trio got to Play Park for the Twins Day Party.
  • A fireworks sound effect is heard in Play Park.
  • This is the first episode where Perrito is a lighter brown than in the previous season.
  • This is the 111th episode of the show.
  • Dora does not use Backpack in this episode.
  • In this episode, Backpack doesn't say, "We did it!" with Map (and his twin sister) after Dora sings, "¡Lo hicimos!" during the We Did It! song; only the maps say it.
  • Benny, Isa, and Tico do not appear in this episode.
  • The Travel Song is replaced by a new song called, "It's Twins Day".
  • Map's dancing is recycled from Big Sister Dora.
  • This is the only episode featuring Map's twin sister.
  • This episode introduces a special plural version of "I'm the Map!" called, "We're the Maps!". First Map sings his, "I'm the Map!" song like usual, then he introduces the viewer to his twin sister. After that, she and Map both sing together, "We're the Maps!". A full version would be heard in Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure (with Map's older self; only in the extended DVD version, the TV version uses the shorter version), and Little Map (with the namesake character).
  • Dora, Boots, Backpack, Swiper, and the Fiesta Trio are only ones not to have a twin.
    • However, Dora has a brother and sister that are twins, Guillermo and Isabella.
  • This episode premiered exactly 9 years after Beaches premiered, and 2 years after the release of the DVD title "Dora Saves the Mermaids".
  • This episode was first released on the DVD title, Dora Saves the Snow Princess before the official TV premiere almost a year later.
  • This is the second to last episode to have the Nick Jr. logo above the show's logo at the end of the theme song. Although starting with The Mayan Adventure, the theme song will remove the Nick Jr. logo from the show's logo, it returns in Dora Saves Three Kings Day, and in this episode. It will be seen one last time in First Day of School.
  • This is the last episode to air before the rebrand of Nickelodeon, which happened on the following Monday (September 28, 2009).
    • This is also the final Season 5 episode to air on Noggin, and the last to air on Noggin before the rebrand into Nick Jr, which happened on the next day (September 28, 2009). The other two Season 5 episodes that aired on Noggin are Dora Saves the Snow Princess and Dora Saves Three Kings Day.
  • Dora and Boots' dancing animations during the We Did It! song in this episode were used in interstitials promoting the 2010 Nickelodeon Mega Music Fest and the CD, We Did It! Dora's Greatest Hits.
