Episode Appearances[]

Physical Appearance[]

He looks like most humpback whales on the show, navy blue blubber with a blowhole at his head and a tail at the end of his body with a lighter blue-gray underbelly and white flippers, though he is smaller than other humpback whales to signify age.

Trivia[]

  • Baby Humpback is likely the largest animal Diego has rescued.
  • Unlike others who debuted in Season 1 and stop appearing after either Season 2 or 3, Baby Humpback is only recurring animal friend who debuted in Season 1 and appeared in Season 4.
  • He is the only recurring animal friend of Diego's from to go through three voice actors.
  • It is unknown where his mother was during Diego and Baby Humpback to the Rescue and Ocean Animal Rescuer, it's possible she appeared in Diego the Hero because there was a whale with eyelashes swimming with him, but it also could have been a friend or sibling of his accounting another larger male humpback whale also was swimming with them as a possible brother, friend, or father.
  • In some Spanish translations of the first season, Baby Humpback is mistaken to be female in the main description of the show.
  • He is shown to be able to jump super high out of the water for his age, both forward and backwards mainly as shown at the end of the "We Saved the Humpback Whale" song from his debut finishing the song off by leaping out the water with his mother and landing with a big splash, Diego and Baby Humpback to the rescue when going over giant nets with Diego atop his back, and during the same episode during the whale show sequence and song leaping high up out of the water and shouting hello, especially with how gravity works, his size, and age, but it is a cartoon so it kind of gets off Scott free.
