Diego and Baby Jaguar go to China to help Yang, the Giant Panda Rescuer to bring all the hungry pandas to Bamboo Mountain where they just planted lots of bamboo.

Plot[]

In the mountains of China, Diego and Baby Jaguar were looking for Giant Pandas, when they heard a distress growling call coming from a hungry panda (Pan Pan), who was slipping off a precious in his attempts to reach the last piece of bamboo on the mountain. Diego rescues Pan Pan and suggests taking him to Bamboo Mountain, where such food is plentiful. Via Diego's video watch, Yang, a fellow animal rescuer at Bamboo Mountain, informs Diego that some pandas, that went looking for bamboo, are also missing, including Pan Pan's grandfather (Grandpa Panda), Pan Pan's mother (Mommy Panda), Pan Pan's baby sister (Baby Panda), and the Panda Cub Twins. Diego and Pan Pan take a train (The Giant Panda Express) to retrieve them, locating them all with Diego's Panda Tracker and then his Spotting Scope by looking for black and white fur.

In the snow fields (first stop), they rescue Grandpa Panda by waking him up just before a wind created rolling snowball was going to hit him. In the tall trees (second stop), they meet Mommy Panda and rescue Baby Panda, who was caught up a tree that she was using as a vantage point to find bamboo, a tree too thin for the mother to climb, but which Diego can climb using his Sharp Panda Gloves. In the rock caves (third stop), they rescue the Panda Twins from some clouded leopards, which Grandpa Panda scares away with his growls. Diego brings all these hungry Pandas, via the train, to their new home on Bamboo Mountain, thus completing his mission.

  • Does a panda's white fur help it hide in green grass or in the snow?
  • To eat bamboo, does a panda need sharp teeth or smooth teeth?
  • Did Diego take the pandas to a home with lots of bamboo or lots of sunflowers?

Trivia[]

  • The Al Rescate/Una Adventura song is replaced by the new song, "Chugga-Chugga-Choo! Gotta Get Bamboo!" for this episode. They sing it twice on the way to collecting pandas, and again once more when they go up to Bamboo Mountain with all of the pandas they collect.
    • During the ride to pick up more pandas, they sing the song again. This time, with more pandas, but they skip the part where they sing the actual song due to it after everybody sings it twice, including the speed of the song by letting Diego say, "(Even) Faster!".
    • During the ride up to Bamboo Mountain, they sing the song once more. This time, with all of the pandas they collected, but again, they skip the part where they sing the actual song due to it after all of them sings it twice, including the speed of the song by letting Diego say, "(Even) Faster!".
  • This is one of the episodes where the fourth wall was broken. Diego handed the viewer some sharp panda gloves so he/she could climb like a giant panda with him.
  • Yang will later appear in Diego's International Rescue League.
  • This was one of the times where a character says, "Wake up, (character)!" to wake someone up. In this case, Diego said "Wake up, Giant Panda!" to wake up Grandpa Panda. Here are the times in Dora's show:
    • In Boots' Cuddly Dinosaur, Dora and Boots had to say "Wake up, Map!" to wake Map up, then say "Wake up, Backpack!" to wake Backpack up.
    • In Benny's Big Race, Dora, Boots, and Benny had to say "Wake up, sloth!" to wake the sloth up.
    • In Dora and the Very Sleepy Bear, Dora and Boots had to say "Wake up, Baby Bear!' to wake Baby Bear up, then Dora had to say "Wake up, Boots!" to wake Boots up.
