White-Tailed Deer Facts[]

  • A white-tailed deer grows antlers, not wings. Only the boy deer grow antlers while the girls are bald.
  • To hide from scary animals, like coyotes, in tall grass, a white-tailed deer freezes. Dancing will get it caught.
  • To signal other deer, a white-tailed deer lifts up its tail so it can let the other deer know where they are. Sticking out its tongue is teasing.
  • To come down mountains, white-tailed deer zigzag, not roller-skate.
  • White-tailed deer are afraid of coyotes.

Trivia[]

  • Alicia doesn't zipline in this episode, she instead drives a Rescue Racer and she sings "We're Heading Out, Vamanos" in place of the usual Al Rescate or Una Adventura.
  • This is the last episode to feature Alicia's original voice actress Constanza Sperakis. This is also the last episode where she voices her Rescue Rope.
  • Diego doesn't introduce himself to the viewer in this episode.
  • Baby Jaguar and Rescue Pack do not appear in this episode.
  • Diego and Alicia don't say "Excelente", they instead say "Yay!"
  • Diego doesn't say "We solved the puzzle", he instead says "We finished the puzzle".
  • This is the second episode of the series where Diego plays a smaller role, only appearing around 18 minutes after the beginning of the episode (similar to how Dora did in Boots to the Rescue from the main show). The first was in Alicia Saves the Crocodile.
  • The freezing scene to steer clear was reused from the episode Baby Dino (from the main show).
  • This is the coyote's fifth appearance.
  • This is the seventh episode where Rescue Rope is used.
  • Although this episode aired in 2007 (on Nick Jr. UK and Nickelodeon Canada), 2008 (on Nickelodeon and DVD), and 2010 (on Nick Jr.), it was produced in 2007 according to the end credits which is the same year that episode premiered on Nick Jr. UK (now known as Nick Jr. Too) and Nickelodeon Canada (now known as simply Nick Canada).

Goofs/Errors[]

  • In real-life, white-tailed deer antlers take months to grow and can't grow in the short time span of a day (although, it may not apply here due to cartoon logic). But of course, they had to get the progression of white tails antlers growing as a plot point and just to show the viewers how antlers work and what they can do all in the span of a 22-minute cartoon show.
